After having lunch, Thalassa was ready to go back to work.
She usually took advantage of the break at noon to go home, have a bite and check on the kids.
Knowing that the kids were safe at home and why they had been to the Sinclair Group CEO's office made her feel a lot better.
When she arrived at the Cleaning Department of the Sinclair Group, the manager stopped her and said, "Evelyn, go clean the restroom on the top floor. You started yesterday and you haven't cleaned a restroom once. Don't be a slacker. I'll be checking every day."
The manager had a stern face and was intimidating.
Thalassa obediently responded, "Sure, I'll get on it right away."
She was aware that cleaning restrooms was part of the janitor's job when she was interviewed.
She wasn't avoiding it, but she had some misunderstandings when she was getting familiar with the environment the day before.
She never expected to bump into Lysander.
She couldn't keep thinking about it.
Thalassa quickly interrupted her thoughts.
With her cleaning tools in hand, she headed to the top floor.
This time, there was a clear sign for the restroom, big red letters read, "MEN'S RESTROOM!"
It's there to prevent women from entering by mistake.
But the irony was all the cleaners were women.
Thalassa carefully entered, praying in her heart that Lysander wouldn't be there by coincidence.
"Cough..." As she entered, she coughed deliberately to alert anyone inside.
But the second time? How would she explain that?
Lysander was certain that she did it on purpose!
Getting close to him with a purpose, he had seen such tricks plenty of times.
As Lysander's cold and deep aura approached, his tall figure overshadowing her, Thalassa felt her heart pounding. She kept backing away, nervously stuttering, "Mr. Sinclair, I, I, I came to clean the restroom..."
To back up her claim, Thalassa held up the cleaning tools, mop and broom in her hand.
Lysander didn't look at the tools in her hand as he kept walking towards her, his tall and lean body completely overshadowing her frail figure.
"Woman, you're good at making excuses." His voice was as cold as ice.
"I, I really didn't... Ah!" Thalassa was explaining, she really wasn't making any excuses, she was telling the truth.
