The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 76

At some point, Frank also joined the judging panel and pointed at Brittany's name, saying, "We should check her design drafts to prevent another scandal."

His words caused silence throughout the room.

Mario, who had years of experience in the industry, rarely came across such a talented designer, said while holding the design drafts, "Plagiarism? Who did she plagiarize?"

"Three years ago, she copied Loraine Field's designs."

Frank looked to Loraine with a sycophantic smile.

Mario suddenly realized and glanced at Loraine, his gaze scrutinizing her before he spoke, "I've seen Ms. Field's design drafts, and their design styles are vastly different."

"Ms. Dustin is more than capable of carving her own path with her talent, no need for plagiarism."

His words were tactful, but it was evident that Brittany possessed more talent than Loraine.

Loraine felt as if someone had slapped her. Brittany, the plagiarist, was actually receiving praise from Mario.

Suppressing her displeasure, Loraine bit her lip and remained calm, "During the competition three years ago, my design drafts were copied by Brittany, and it's a well-known fact."

"Yes, it was already very generous of Ms. Field not to pursue Brittany's plagiarism," Frank chimed in, "I never expected Brittany to have the audacity to participate in the Crown Jewel Design Challenge!"

"Since there's such a history, we should kick her out."

Someone proposed this idea. They didn't want another scandal, so it seemed easier to simply remove Brittany.

William wanted to defend Brittany, but Frank beat him to it, saying, "Mr. Dillion, you have a close relationship with Brittany, so maybe it's better not to meddle in this matter."

William immediately looked at Frank, "Are you implying that I would cover for Brittany?"

Frank knew, of course, that William was trying to help Brittany.

"I'm just saying that the evidence from back then is undeniable. She shouldn't be allowed to participate in this competition."

Brittany offended him, so she shouldn't expect to continue in this circle.

He had heard that Brittany had opened her own studio and claimed she was going to achieve great things in the industry.

Yet, half a month after the opening, she hadn't received any orders.

William knew that Frank did this on purpose. Even if he wanted to defend Brittany now, people would view it as favoritism.

But so what?

He stood up, both hands on the desk, and looked at everyone in the room.

She was also one of the participants, so she didn't want Brittany to compete.

Considering everything, she thought it best to shift the blame to Mr. Salter. How could a busy CEO care about such trivial matters?

Perhaps, in the past, Brittany might have believed her.

But ever since Sydney deceived her with the same excuse, she wouldn't fall for it again.

"Are you in the quarterfinals?"

Brittany retorted.

"Of course."

"Then why are you here?" Brittany raised an eyebrow. "To show off your achievements?"

Patrina sneered, "Dad wants you to come back and continue designing for me."

It turned out that this was her real purpose.

Kari was about to stand up, but Brittany stopped her, "I'm sorry, but I don't intend to go back."
