The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 662

Jolin was taken aback, never thinking that Lionel, a man so hard to get along with, would actually come begging to her.

She took a drag of her cigarette and said subtly, "Mr. Chester, you just got hitched, and now you're coming to me for help with your sister, offering me such a sweet deal. Aren't you worried your new bride's going to be heartbroken?"

Lionel, catching her sarcasm, bit his lip and said, "That's my business."

"Mr. Chester, in any other case, I wouldn't hesitate," Jolin still refused, "but I owe Isaac a favor. So I can't accept."

Jolin was unyielding, and Lionel had to compromise, "I remember you have a wide network of contacts. Can you do me a favor with the Industrial and Commercial Bureau and the police?"

"I can do that."

Jolin never imagined watching Brittany in distress. She said, "Let's schedule a meeting to talk about the details."

After hanging up, Jolin's husband came over to her and asked, "Didn't Lionel just tie the knot? Why is he still so concerned about Brittany?"

Jolin stubbed out her cigarette, "Well, he can't just sit by and watch his little sister, who he's watched grow up, struggle."

Lionel was a man of deep thoughts, and Jolin had dealt with him more than once before. It was really unexpected that he would go to such lengths for Brittany.

Her husband hugged her and said, "It's late. We should go to bed."

...

Waking up with a hangover, Brittany felt like her head was going to explode.

She struggled to sit up. She then got a call from Kari, "Brittany, you're still not up?"

Brittany rubbed her head, "What's up?"

She looked around, confirming she was at Hannah's place, her head hurting so much she didn't even want to move.

"No big deal; you just haven't been at the studio lately. I was getting worried." Kari’s voice sounded like it was echoing, probably in a hallway.

"I'm fine. I'll be busy dealing with the Dustin Group's stuff these days."

"Alright."

Brittany chatted with Kari for a bit, but she couldn't hold on any longer. She hung up the phone, rested for more than half an hour in bed, and then barely managed to get up.

Brittany finished the honey water in one gulp.

Lionel handed over a stack of documents and said, "This is all the money I can come up with for now; it's not much, but it should help you relieve some pressure."

"I can't take that, bro."

The Chester family had already given her a lot. She replied, "I've sold some properties in my name. I'm not short on cash."

The funds from William, plus the income from selling the properties, should be enough to sustain her for a while.

"Alright, if you need help, let me know anytime," Lionel said.

Brittany nodded, but she knew she wouldn't go to Lionel for help.

Lionel dropped her off at home and then left.

Just as she got out of the car, Isaac grabbed her hand, his face dark, "You didn't come home all night? Were you with him?"
