The secretary's eyes widened with excitement. "Mr. Salter, I can't thank you enough. I wish you and Ms. Dustin sweet and everlasting love."
"Uh huh."
Isaac, carrying Daniel, followed behind Brittany.
The secretary and the others cheered, exchanged amused glances, and decided to keep the night's events to themselves.
...
Isaac pushed open the suite's door.
Brittany asked in surprise, "How did you get in?"
"Your secretary gave me the pass code."
Brittany was speechless.
Isaac put down Daniel, who then ran to Brittany and hugged her leg. "Mom, are we sleeping together?"
Brittany was at her limit. "Daniel, you're a big boy now; we can't sleep together anymore."
Daniel dropped his head in disappointment at her refusal. "Alright then, since no one cares for me, I'll just sleep alone."
As he said this, he wiped his eyes, trying to hide his sadness.
"Mom must not like me. She thinks I'm just like Dad; that's why she won't accept me. It's okay, I'll behave, and I won't make Mom uncomfortable anymore."
Isaac chimed in. "Daniel, let's go back to our room."
"Goodbye, Mom."
Daniel's eyes were red and full of tears, but he stubbornly refused to let them fall. He waved goodbye to Brittany.
Brittany's heart softened instantly. "Alright, alright, we'll sleep together."
Daniel still looked sad on the surface. "Mom, really? If it makes you uncomfortable, Mom, we can leave. I don't want to make you uncomfortable."
"Really." Brittany rubbed her temples, knowing she shouldn't, but she couldn't resist agreeing. "Only this once; it won’t happen again."
"That's great!" Daniel hugged Brittany excitedly. "I knew Mom loved me the most, and I love Mom the most too!"
Brittany looked up to see Isaac's deep eyes and his bare upper body.
"Why aren't you dressed?" Brittany instinctively covered Daniel's eyes, repeating to herself, "Don't look, don't look."
Isaac, towel in hand, was drying his hair. "I couldn't find suitable sleepwear."
He was only wrapped in a towel, which covered the most important parts but revealed his strong upper body.
He always had a habit of working out; his limbs were long and strong; his chest was muscular; and his abdominal muscles were nearly perfect.
Brittany couldn't help but recall the scene from five years ago, so she awkwardly looked away. "You can't come out like this. It would be embarrassing if your son saw, wouldn't it?"
He really should be more mindful of his influence.
Isaac noticed the blush behind her ears, and a look of satisfaction flashed in his eyes. It seemed his years of working out had paid off. At least Brittany seemed to like it.
They heard a knock at the door, and he casually said, "I'll go check," and then left.
Daniel was already drowsy while he was in Brittany's arms. She put down the tablet, but Isaac's nearly naked image kept flashing in her mind.
