Wesley was at a loss for words.
Isaac wrenched his hand free, cradling his drink, one after the other, as if it could make him forget Brittany and William...
Wesley couldn't stand it anymore; he snatched his glass and said, "Zac, boozing here isn't helping anything. If you're still a responsible man, you should go get your love back."
Isaac was stunned.
"Zac, Brittany is still alive, so you still have a chance," Wesley licked his lips.
Having grown up with Isaac, when had he ever seen him so down and out?
He had put all his emotions into Brittany. He hadn't been able to move on, whether it was five years ago or five years later.
If he can't let go, then he should try to make amends!
It seemed as if Isaac understood. He stood up, swaying, "You're right. I'm gonna go get her back."
Wesley didn't trust him to go out alone, so he dropped the bottle and followed him.
"Zac, wait up."
He had drunk so much, and he still wanted to drive?
Just stepping out of the private room, Wesley saw a man and woman walking hand in hand, and his feet seemed to freeze. He suddenly couldn't move.
After a year, he saw Viola again.
Their breakup had been nasty. Viola had even dropped her usual pride, almost screaming, tearing the last shred of respect between them.
He only remembered the last time when they met, Viola had left a key in front of him. It was the key to the villa they lived together.
Wearing a bright red dress, as stunning as ever, her face looked a bit tired as she said, "Wesley, from today on, we have nothing to do with each other."
He had drunk a lot that night. He didn't try to stop her; he just lay on the couch, annoyed. Until the door closed, he didn't say a word.
He only remembered the lights that night were too bright, hurting his eyes and making him want to cry.
Now, Viola was still wearing a bright red dress, with short hair and red lips, clinging to the man by her side. The man said something, making her giggle.
Wesley wanted to hide, but Viola spotted him.
The smile on Viola's face remained. The man next to her saw Wesley standing not far away and greeted him with a smile, "Mr. Tueley."
Wesley stared at Viola anxiously, probably trying to see the old emotions in her face.
However, Viola looked at him with a very plain gaze, as if she was looking at a stranger.
Then, Brittany turned on her computer and started a new round of work.
Bri-jeweled Studio's new product was about to launch.
She couldn't take it lightly. Any small detail could affect sales.
She worked until late at night. When the stars were shining in the night sky, Brittany checked the last design draft and let out a sigh.
She hadn't worked this hard in a long time. She was really tired.
At that moment, her phone rang.
It was a message from William. He reminded her to rest early.
Brittany replied, "I'm done now. I will rest soon."
"There's a chicken soup I made in the fridge. Heat it up and have some before you rest."
William hadn't rested yet, either. His cousin was getting married soon, so as a family member, he had a lot to prepare.
"Okay."
