The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 498

Isaac Salter seemed to have lost any feelings for her, treating her just like a sister. He was generous with his care, but there was no extra contact beyond that.

With Brittany Dustin's passing, it was like she took all of Isaac's feelings with her. His relationships with Daniel and Grace Salter seemed to have frozen over and were not as harmonious as before.

"Daniel, long time no see."

Joie shook off the distractions, believing that with enough effort, she could make her way into Isaac's heart.

She pulled out a snack from her bag, offering it to Daniel with a pleasing smile, "I remember you like this. I bought it especially for you."

Daniel took a sip of his creamy soup, not taking her offer.

"Daniel." Emily reminded Daniel to be polite.

Daniel put down his spoon, accepted the snack, and simply said thank you.

"Good boy, Daniel" Joie reached out, wanting to pat his head.

"Don't touch me!"

Daniel caught a whiff of her perfume, feeling uncomfortable; his face instantly changed.

He saw it last time—that annoying woman had been delivering milk to his dad in the middle of the night!

What a nasty woman!

Joie's smile froze on her face, awkwardly pulling her hand back.

Daniel quickly finished his soup and got the driver to take him to kindergarten. Before leaving, he also took the small pastries Emily had prepared earlier.

Those were his favorites, soft and fragrant.

As Daniel got in the car, the driver cast him a questioning look, "Daniel, what's wrong? You seem upset."

"That annoying woman came." Daniel puffed up his cheeks, "And Granny Emily made me greet her."

"Daniel, you're a Salter, and also a good boy; you should be polite." The driver, who had been with Isaac for many years, knew that Daniel wasn't bad; he just couldn't control his likes and dislikes yet.

Daniel pouted, "Can you take me somewhere tonight?"

The driver instantly became alert.

The lobby was bustling, but the person he was looking for was nowhere to be found.

After waiting for a while, worried that the driver might be concerned, Daniel walked out of the hospital with his head down, feeling disappointed.

Unexpectedly, he walked right into a warm, soft embrace.

"You again?"

Brittany looked down at the child who ran into her, surprised. That was their second encounter

Daniel caught a familiar scent; his eyes instantly light up, and instinctively he tightened his hold around Brittany, "Mommy, mommy."

Her skin was soft, her hair was long and silky, and she was pretty and slim.

She smelled nice, felt soft, and even bought him ice cream.

“This must be mommy!” he thought.

Hearing the word "mommy", something in Brittany seemed to shatter.
