The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 452

"Granny." Brittany gave a small smile.

Now that Brittany had returned, Grace's eyes welled up slightly. She walked up, took Brittany's hand, and exchanged a few words with her.

The weather was a bit warmer today. There was no snow, but Isaac was still concerned about Brittany's health. "Granny, let's go inside and talk."

"Okay."

That was when Grace remembered that Brittany was still pregnant.

After they entered the house, Joie politely said, "Bri, welcome home."

Brittany's expression didn't change. She acknowledged her, and it seemed like the previous unpleasantness was completely forgotten.

Since Joie was pretending like nothing happened, why should she make it hard on herself?

As they entered the dining room, Grace asked about the check-up results for the day. Upon learning that everything was fine, she sighed in relief.

Dinner was prepared by Emily herself.

Brittany had missed Emily's cooking for several days and was craving it. Emily was all smiles as she watched Brittany wolf down the food.

Who could resist someone who loved their cooking?

"Mrs. Salter, don't eat too much. I'll prepare some supper for you tonight." Even though Emily was happy, she was still worried that Brittany might overeat.

Brittany was still not satisfied, but she knew Emily meant well, "Alright."

After filling up, Brittany was the first to head upstairs.

She walked into the bathroom, and when she came out after her shower, she found someone in her room. It was Joie!

"What are you doing here?"

Brittany looked at Joie coldly.

"Bri, I want to apologize." Joie's eyes were full of sincerity, but Brittany didn’t buy it for one minute.

"You already apologized." Brittany retorted.

"But you still hate me, don't you?" Joie moved a bit closer.

Brittany felt violated and instinctively backed away, "Don't touch me."

Joie bit her lip, "Bri, I actually want to be friends with you…"

"Joie, you shouldn't take advantage of her." She let go of the doorknob.

Joie pressed on, "So what if I did take advantage of her? If I wanted, not only could I get her to like me, but I could also get her to hate you!"

Brittany didn't want to waste time with her, so she turned to leave.

However, Joie suddenly grabbed her hand. The pain made Brittany push her away involuntarily.

That push was a big deal.

Joie fell backward with a ‘thud’ onto the floor. She immediately held her head, her eyes reddening.

As footsteps approached, Grace's voice rang out.

"What was that noise? Joie, what happened?" Grace came upstairs, saw Joie on the floor, and quickly rushed forward, lifting Joie without hesitation.

"Granny, Bri didn't mean to. It's because I…" Joie's fall wasn't light, and blood kept seeping from the back of her head.

Grace's face immediately went stern. Her look at Brittany was mixed with surprise and a hint of displeasure.

Brittany wanted to explain, but facing Grace's accusatory gaze, she froze in place.
