The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 419

Isaac Salter was unaffected by Brittany Dustin's acerbic tongue.

"I'm not putting on an act, you know."

She paused for a bit, then dodged the soup he handed over to her. "Just put it down."

She didn't feel like eating.

"You should get something in your system. Health is wealth, you know," Isaac insisted.

Brittany finally caved in. She didn't feel like eating, but she didn't want to harm her health either, so she finished the soup under Isaac's saddened gaze.

"Soup's done, you can leave now," Brittany said, closing her eyes.

Isaac took the bowl back, looking somewhat downcast. "Has your grandma visited you in the hospital?"

Brittany didn't want to respond. Isaac's people were outside. He would know better than anyone who had visited.

Seeing her resistance, Isaac pursed his lips. "I've discussed it with the doctors, they'll discharge you tomorrow. Come back to Radiant Residences with me."

"No need," Brittany frowned. "Randell Moore has given me plenty of houses. I can live in any of them."

She didn't want to waste time with Isaac and looked at him coldly. "You don't have to pretend anymore. I'm not good enough for Mr. Salter."

Brittany felt somewhat intimidated by Isaac's serious gaze.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Brittany instinctively backed away. "Are you planning to lock me up or something?"

Isaac moved closer to her. "Bri, we're married. You should be living with me."

"Whatever Randell gives you, I won't interfere." He paused. "However, if you insist on living in his house, I guarantee that within six months, Randell will fare no better than Jason Field did!"

"Isaac..."

Brittany didn't expect him to threaten her. She was immediately taken aback.

"Mr. Salter, this way, please."

Isaac led Brittany into Radiant Residences.

Brittany was hostile toward him, refusing to even look at him. All she desired was to be rid of him and resume her independent life.

Isaac led Brittany into the living room. It was an open-plan living room with a ceiling height of twelve meters. A chandelier worth hundreds of thousands of dollars hung from the ceiling, casting a brilliant light.

Emily had been taking care of Brittany for some time and knew her quite well.

Emily entered the kitchen alone. When she came back out, she held a cup of honey water. "Miss Brittany, have some honey water."

After the journey, Brittany felt exhausted.

She took the honey water and took a sip. "Thank you."

Emily watched as Brittany finished the honey water, then she went back to the kitchen to prepare lunch.
