Brittany suddenly cut him off. Her gaze was ice-cold, as if it shimmered with an unusual light.
"Shut it!"
Brittany spoke before Nathan could, and seeing her pale face, he almost thought she was about to faint. He promptly shut his trap.
Brittany steadied herself on the railing, walking step by step towards the door.
Randell slowly walked into the room, scrutinizing the man before him.
"I've always been curious why Bri always lands on her feet. Even Jason seems scared of her."
The Fields and the Dustins weren't even in the same league. Brittany had previously snatched a fair share of business from the Fields out of spite for Jason. However, Jason didn't dare to show his anger and even swallowed his pride.
Then it became clear. Jason has always been aware of Isaac's true identity. So, he was afraid of Isaac, not Brittany!
Isaac stood up and said, "Bro, I don't want to keep my identity from you."
"Mr. Salter, I can't accept you addressing me in this way."
Randell scoffed lightly, "Mr. Salter, playing this marriage game with my sister, how amusing!
My sister is indeed exceptional compared to the fine lady the Salter have arranged for you, but she isn't in the same league. I don't understand why Mr. Salter would be with my sister!"
Isaac immediately retorted, "Bri is great. I genuinely like her."
Randell was confused and angry.
He held a stack of documents in his hand. Upon hearing Isaac’s words, he flung them at Isaac's face and said, "Your so-called 'like' involves playing the marriage game with her while taking other women on trips to Y Country?"
Papers flew everywhere.
A buzzing sound filled Brittany's ears as if something had shattered.
Randell's angry voice echoed in the room, "Isaac, take a good look at these documents. What else do you have to say?"
Isaac didn't expect him to uncover these things. His throat bobbed nervously.
"It's not what you think..."
Unable to contain his anger, Randell grabbed Isaac by the collar and said, "If it's not like that, then what is it? Isaac, my sister is pregnant while you're playing house with other women. Do you even care about her?"
Randell was gritting his teeth in fury. He was renowned for his ability to conceal his feelings, but he couldn't help himself that time. He landed a punch on Isaac, "Let me tell you, my sister isn't defenseless. Divorce her, now!"
Isaac had a temper too. He immediately got tangled with Randell.
Brittany looked at him, her gaze cold and guarded, making Isaac swallow his words.
"Bri, it's not what you think..."
Brittany didn't even want to look at him. Her grip tightened on Randell's hand, "Bro, I want to change hospitals."
Randell was relatively calm, knowing they needed to prioritize Brittany, "I'll arrange it right away."
Isaac started to panic. He rushed forward, trying to stop her, "Bri, this is not what you think. Let me explain..."
Without thinking, he tightly grasped Brittany's hand, stuttering, "I don't have any other women. It's not what you think."
"Isaac, you still want to keep deceiving her?"Randell couldn't keep his cool anymore. Their eyes met, both filled with sparks.
Seeing another argument about to erupt, Brittany whispered to Randell, "Bro, you should leave first" as she struggled to maintain her balance.
She wanted to talk to Isaac alone.
Randell pressed his lips together, warning Isaac not to spout nonsense, and then left to arrange for Brittany's hospital transfer.
Brittany withdrew her hand, her eyes were icy as she asked, "Isaac, was it Joie who hung up my call on the plane the last time?"
