Jason's infidelity scandal was exposed, and the news spread like wildfire.
Jason was boiling with rage when he received divorce papers delivered by Mrs. Field.
"What the hell do you mean by this?" Jason asked in disbelief.
He continued, "You want to divorce me?"
Mrs. Field, breaking from her usual meekness, gave Jason a cold stare. "I've prepared the divorce papers. Sign them."
Jason sprang to his feet. "Are you out of your freaking mind? You want to divorce me now? Do you even realize my worth?"
Mrs. Field, dressed in a black and white business suit, looked crisp and sharp. "I'm not sure about your worth, Jason, but most of Field Group is mine now. Don't you think you should cool down and have a proper conversation with me?"
Jason was stunned. "You've been using me?"
"Did you leak those news stories?" Jason was furious. He never thought he would be betrayed by Mrs. Field.
Mrs. Field tapped on the table lightly, as if to remind Jason. "Jason, you betrayed me first. How many women have you been with? Did you even count?"
She continued, "All these years I've been married to you, I've given you my all. You said you needed a child after Loraine left, and I put up with it." Mrs. Field's voice wavered. "But was it really for the child?"
Jason was livid. "So, you've been using me on purpose?"
Mrs. Field sneered, "Either sign the divorce papers, or let's see who can hold out longer, considering I own half of Field Group!"
The scandal broke, and the stock price plummeted.
Only then did Jason realize that the few projects he had handed over to Mrs. Field had now become her ammunition, and any misstep could affect the entire Field family.
Jason, despite his unwillingness, had no choice but to sign the divorce papers and transfer some of his shares to Mrs. Field.
Mrs. Field left, satisfied.
Meanwhile, another scandal involving Jason's inappropriate behavior broke out, and the stock price wobbled again.
Mrs. Field sold her stocks at a low price, and Brittany secretly bought them, quickly becoming the second largest shareholder of Field Group!
Before Jason had a chance to clear up the scandal, he was taken to the police station for an investigation!
Linda had an abortion, took the money from Mrs. Field, and left Imperial City.
Jason left with nothing and threw a fit at the police station.
Brittany, together with other shareholders, kicked Jason out of the shareholder meeting, putting the Field family in dire straits.
Jason was so shocked that he nearly vomited blood!
Randell had met Isaac a few times in private and developed a liking for him. He wanted to help him.
He couldn't interfere in Grandeur Capital's internal affairs and was considering bringing Isaac in when he returned to the country to give him a boost, which would also help Brittany.
The end of the year was approaching.
Brittany prepared a birthday gift for William and sent it to the Dillion family in advance.
William still didn't want to see her, so she left the gift with Mrs. Dillion, who threw it in the trash. "Brittany, my son is about to get engaged to Carla, please stop coming here."
Carla had been taking care of William for some time, and the Dillion family was very satisfied with her.
Brittany was relieved to hear that they were getting engaged.
Although Carla was somewhat arrogant, she wasn't a bad person. She and William understood each other well and were a good match.
After Brittany left, Mrs. Dillion went upstairs.
"You saw it too, Brittany doesn't even like you. Why won't you agree to get engaged to Carla?"
Mrs. Dillion couldn't understand what was so special about Brittany that made him care so much!
