This man was so remarkable, exuding a strong presence! No wonder he could win the heart of someone like Brittany Dustin!
Linda tried hard not to show how impressed she was by his charm. Clearing her throat, she said, "Do you like that set? I'll gift it to you as your wedding present."
During their college days, Brittany had helped Linda, and Linda had always wanted to repay the favor. Now that the opportunity presented itself, Linda naturally didn't want to be stingy.
However, Brittany shook her head and declined Linda's kindness, "No need, my husband and I have already made our choice."
After Isaac Salter made the payment, he turned to Brittany and said, "You mentioned that you liked the mattress from that store. I asked the salesperson, and they can customize..."
Brittany's eyes immediately lit up, "Then let's go."
Linda felt ignored and couldn't sit still. She stopped Brittany in her tracks, "Brittany, it's been a while. Let's have lunch together."
Brittany had no ill intentions toward Linda, but Linda's repeated invitations made it difficult to refuse.
"Well, let's meet later then."
Leaving the store, Isaac asked Brittany, "It seems you don't really like her?"
"It's not that; we just haven't seen each other in a while."
Brittany knew Linda wasn't a bad person. She heard that Linda had initially been by Jason Field's side because she was short on money. But even so, Linda had done some unsavory things, not to mention the person involved was Jason.
Isaac keenly noticed her change in mood and comforted her a few times. Then he accompanied her through the furniture mall for a couple of hours, finally settling on all the furnishings.
As they left the furniture store, Linda was already waiting outside. Brittany knew she couldn't avoid her, so she approached and greeted her. The three of them chose a regular restaurant for their lunch.
Upon entering the restaurant, Isaac excused himself to the restroom.
"I was his assistant, and I was drunk at the time." Linda cursed, "Who would sleep with him if not for the money?"
Linda had thought it through. She had already lost her innocence, so instead of making a fuss about it, she might as well take this opportunity and leave herself some room. Even though Jason was not young, he spent money like water. She chose to have a child in exchange for a stable future. It was a very cost-effective deal.
"Linda, to be honest with you, Jason is not a good person. You should still protect yourself." Brittany couldn't accept Linda's approach.
"Don't worry, I'm smart." Linda smiled, "I know Jason won't marry me, so what I want is money."
"Now I have a car, a house, and money. As long as the child is born, I'll leave Imperial City."
Linda knew that if the marital property was given to a third party, it was possible to reclaim it.
Isaac returned from the restroom, and the three of them had their meal. Before leaving, Linda gave Brittany one last look, "Brittany, I know you don't agree with my perspective, but I have no choice. I hope you won't look down on me because of it."
