The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 379

Isaac ended his call, shut his bedroom door, and headed down to the studio.

Once he got there, he noticed the lights on the second floor were still on.

Sure enough, Brittany was in the studio.

He had keys to the studio, so he unlocked the door and went upstairs smoothly.

As he opened the studio door, he instantly spotted Brittany curled up on the sofa. The sofa was small, and her sleeping position seemed uncomfortable.

Clearly, the sofa wasn't sleep-friendly.

Isaac quietly walked over and gently picked her up. Brittany was fast asleep, totally unaware she was being carried away.

Back at the apartment, Isaac laid her on the bed, helped her into her pajamas, and tucked her in.

By the time he was done, it was already 4 a.m.

He held her by the waist, dozing off.

When Brittany woke up again, she didn't expect someone to be lying next to her, and she sat up immediately!

"What's wrong?" Isaac was awoken by her movement.

Seeing it was Isaac, Brittany sighed in relief but then remembered she had fallen asleep in the studio. How did she get back?

"Why didn't you come home last night?" Isaac asked.

She usually comes home even when busy, but she spent the night in the studio last night.

Faced with this query, Brittany couldn't hold back her anger, "Why did you hang up on me when you were on the plane?"

"Phone call?" A look of surprise flashed through Isaac's eyes, then he sat up and asked, "What phone call?"

Brittany showed him her call log on her phone.

"A male colleague." Isaac instinctively concealed Joie's existence, "I was on a business trip with Nathan. All our colleagues were men. If you don't believe me, I can have him vouch for me."

Nathan?

He was Mr. Salter's right-hand man, and she wouldn't accept Nathan's testimony.

"Were you mad at me for not coming home last night?" Isaac held her tightly, his gaze downcast, "Bri, we're husband and wife. We should talk things out face-to-face. No secrets, okay?"

Brittany's heart raced, about to hug him back.

Suddenly, an urgent ringtone interrupted them. Isaac apologized and got off the bed.

He picked up the call, and a woman's voice came from the other end.

His face turned grim immediately. He glanced at Brittany, looking a bit awkward, "I see. All right, I'll be there as soon as I can."

Brittany watched his profile, and her heart skipped a beat!
