The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 350

"I got word Zakky's drunk as a skunk, so I came to pick him up."

Brittany's gaze shifted to the booth.

Wesley was waving at her while Viola raised her eyebrows in amusement.

No sign of Isaac, Brittany frowned. "Where's he?"

"He's in the restroom!"

"He's settling the bill!"

Two contrasting replies.

Viola's lips twitched. Couldn’t they at least get their story straight if they were gonna lie?

Wesley reacted quicker, "Zac's a bit sloshed; he went to the loo and paid the bill on his way."

William stepped back a few and said, "Come in and sit for a bit."

Ever since the scandal, Brittany had kept her distance, and he hadn't tried to approach her either.

"Bri, what brings you here?"

Isaac turned around; seeing Brittany perked him up.

Smelling the booze on himself, he shed his coat into a trash bin, his large hand enveloped hers, cold as ice.

"You didn't come home, so I came to check."

Brittany could smell the alcohol on him, mixed with the faint scent of woman's perfume.

"Ms. Miller, thanks for the assist last time."

She was in a tight spot last time and almost made a fool of herself with Wesley.

Luckily Viola stepped in, though it outed her relationship with Wesley.

Viola had a soft spot for Brittany.

She stood up and said, "No biggie, I was just lending a hand."

Viola raised her eyebrow, whispering to Brittany, "Ms. Dustin, Mr. Salter's a catch, got a lot of lady friends, you gotta keep your eyes peeled."

Viola didn't want to see Brittany get played, so she gave her a heads up.

"Thanks, Ms. Miller. Let’s grab a meal sometime."

That wasn't Viola's perfume. There was another woman tonight!

Brittany bid Viola goodbye, then left with Isaac.

"What did you say?"

"I'll get a designated driver then."

Brittany shut the door and got in the back.

Isaac followed.

"Sorry, I made plans without telling you." Isaac reached out.

Brittany avoided his hand. "Was there anyone else besides Ms. Miller tonight?"

"No."

Isaac shook his head. Joie only stayed for a few minutes; that can't count as drinking with them.

Brittany was a bit uneasy and pushed him away. Isaac thought it was because his booze smell and immediately stepped back, "I'll stop drinking. I didn't expect you to come to get me."

Brittany bottled up her displeasure, "It's okay. Let’s go home."

Once home, Isaac went to the bathroom. Brittany checked the person who texted; it turned out to be a bar staff.

Why would a bar staff call him "Bro Isaac"?

Brittany wasn't a suspicious person, but Viola's words, plus that "Bro Isaac” made her overthink.

She trusted her husband. But women's intuition is often spot on, Isaac was definitely hiding something from her, and it involved other women!
