The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 259

"No, I like roses now too." Brittany wrapped her arms around his neck and answered cautiously.

Any gift from him would always win her over.

...

Something was off with Mr. Salter today. Nathan picked up on it the moment he stepped into the office.

Mr. Salter was like a melting ice cube today, radiating a distant indifference but seemingly hiding some secret.

Could it be that his love life was going swimmingly? Nathan thought.

He gave Isaac a once-over and noticed the ring on his finger, causing a jolt in his heart.

So that was what it was.

He handed over a bunch of files and asked cautiously, "Mr. Salter, is that a wedding ring from Ms. Dustin?"

Isaac looked surprised, but there was a hint of joy in his eyes, "It's a promise ring she gave me."

He should probably start planning for a wedding ring then.

Nathan fell silent.

So it was all about the ring.

"Ms. Dustin has such great taste, and the ring suits you well."

Nathan complimented cleverly, which seemed to please Isaac. He gave Nathan an appreciative look, "Get in touch with the designer. I want him to design a wedding ring for me."

Nathan was taken aback, "Are you planning to marry Ms. Dustin?"

It was clear to him that Isaac had become warmer after his relationship with Brittany. A wedding was to be expected. Just not this soon.

"Not yet."

Isaac shook his head, "Let's wait a bit longer."

The Salter family was still not completely stable. He couldn't go public now, but he could start preparing. Once the matters with the Salter family were settled, he would reveal his identity and plan the wedding with Brittany.

Thinking about the future made Isaac relax.

"Sure."

Just as Nathan opened the office door, Hannah rushed in, "Mr. Salter, something happened to Bri..."

Isaac immediately stood up, "What happened?"

"One of Loraine's crazy fans showed up again, and Bri got hurt..."

Isaac lifted her up and turned to Kari, "Could you please get her medication? We'll wait for you in the garage."

Kari nodded unconsciously, feeling a sense of authority from Brittany's husband.

Brittany lay in Isaac's arms, not uttering a word.

After they got into the car, he carefully buckled her seat belt.

Brittany noticed that he was upset and instinctively squeezed his hand, "Zakky, are you angry?"

"Yes." Isaac nodded, "I'm angry at myself for not being able to protect you."

Brittany hurriedly shook her head, "It's not your fault. This time they drove straight into the studio, even the door was broken... Luckily, the bodyguards arrived in time to save us."

Brittany still felt a bit scared when she recalled the incident, "Thank God the bodyguards arrived just in time, or the studio would have been destroyed again."

The bodyguards disappeared so quickly she didn't even get a chance to thank them.

Of course, Isaac knew who they were, and a chill flashed in his eyes. He tightened his grip on her hand, "Do you want Loraine to apologize to you?"

Brittany, of course, wanted that. She had been bullied several times, and Loraine hadn't even apologized. How could she not want that?

A flash of anger crossed Isaac's eyes, "Then I'll make her apologize to you. Is that okay?"
