The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 252

Isaac's eyes flickered curiously. "Derek?"

"Yeah."

Derek groggily felt someone in his arms, got scared shitless, and shoved the person away.

"Who's that?"

"Derek, why did you push me?" Loraine's voice was soft and sad, and she looked pale with a gentle gaze.

Derek was totally baffled. Why was Loraine here?

Why were they lying together?

Seeing Derek's clueless expression, Loraine chuckled inwardly. Even fate was playing into her hands.

Last night, she just came to give it a shot and found Derek passed out alone at home. The living room had a weird vibe, and she could guess what had gone down.

That woman was gone.

Just as she had hoped.

She looked at her torn dress and said, "Derek, I just came to see you last night. I didn’t expect you to be drunk, and then we."

Tears suddenly fell from her eyes. "I tried to push you away, but I was too weak. What am I supposed to do now?"

Derek was hammered last night and had no clue what happened.

Hearing Loraine's accusations, he thought he had actually done something wrong.

He instinctively wiped her tears. "I'm sorry, Loraine, I was drunk. I've always liked you; I screwed up last night; let's get married; I'll take responsibility."

Loraine nestled against his chest, sobbing softly.

However, a triumphant glint flashed in her eyes.

Derek thought he had violated Loraine and felt guilty as hell. He comforted Loraine and promised to propose to the Field family right away.

Loraine nodded contentedly.

When Loraine went to take a shower, Derek called Katelyn and spilled the beans about last night.

"Derek, you really screwed up!" Katelyn was pissed off. She had repeatedly warned him, but shit still happened.

"I,"

A lot of people immediately texted to ask if the news was true. Derek knew many people, so this incident attracted a lot of attention.

He was annoyed by all the queries.

Even Isaac came to talk to Derek, just about to speak.

"Don't ask; let me tell you first." Derek was getting impatient. "We are getting married, for real; don't ask why; we are just getting married."

With so many people asking, his patience was wearing thin.

Seeing Derek on the verge of losing it, Isaac held back what he wanted to say and asked, "Are you sure?"

"I am."

Derek sat in his office chair, exhausted. "I was drunk last night; Loraine came. I have to take responsibility. And besides, I've liked her all these years; getting married isn't such a bad idea."

Derek seemed to be comforting himself as well as explaining.

"What did Loraine say?"

Isaac felt something was off about this whole thing. He just broke off the engagement, and now Loraine was with Derek. It left him puzzled.
