The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 169

Brittany sure had some nerve, playing lovey-dovey with Isaac while keeping William on the side. The funniest part was that neither of them knew about her real colors!

Derek decided that tonight was the perfect opportunity. They couldn't let Brittany fool them any longer!

He was determined to unveil Brittany’s true face!

William looked at Derek in surprise. Why was he so worked up? Did he want to go too?

"Don’t get your knickers in a twist, mate. Brittany and I are friends; it’s normal for us to meet. Besides, I'm curious to meet her husband."

Ever since Brittany got married, she seemed to be doing better. He wanted to see what kind of man could have made such a significant change in her.

Derek was speechless. What's there to see?

William agreed to the meeting and put away his phone.

"Do you remember Zac's distant relative who had a crush on you?"

Derek was trying to pull William back to reality. They couldn't be fooled again!

William didn't really want to talk about Sydney, "There's nothing between us."

"Are you planning on staying single forever for a married woman?" Derek frowned, "Listen to me; she’s married. Let it go. I'll introduce you to some nice girls in a while, guaranteed to your liking."

William just laughed it off.

After they parted ways, Derek rushed home and looked up Brittany's details but found no mention of her relationship with William.

She knew how to play her cards, hooking two top-notch men simultaneously.

It was clear that William couldn't be persuaded. He was determined to go on a date. So, he had to start with Isaac.

Early next morning.

Derek went to Isaac's office first thing and knocked on his desk, "Want to grab dinner tonight?"

"I can't. I have plans tonight."

Isaac had noticed that Derek had been acting strange lately, not only popping up around him a lot but also showing hostility towards Brittany.

"Why did you have a problem with Bri at dinner the other day?"

"I had no problem. I was just asking." Derek shrugged, "You guys got married on a whim and didn’t know each other well enough; I was just trying to help you understand more."

"Don't do that again."

Derek rolled his eyes as if he had thought of something, "I heard that William has a date with the girl he likes. Are you not going?"

"Bri, over here."

William was sitting by the window, as gentlemanly as ever. He raised his hand to beckon her over.

Brittany walked over briskly, "William, I'm sorry, I got off work late."

"Where's your husband? I thought we were having dinner together?"

"He's still at work. I came first, William; I’m sorry, we might make you wait."

Brittany felt a bit guilty, it was their dinner appointment, but they were making William wait.

William waved it off, "It's okay."

Brittany pushed the gift box in front of William, then took off her coat, "William, you were abroad a while ago, and I didn't give you your birthday gift in time. This is for you."

William was taken aback, and then he realized not only had she not given him a gift, but he had also forgotten his own birthday.

"Bri, thank you."

William opened the gift box. Inside was a bottle of men's perfume, the brand he always used, niche and expensive.
