Otherwise, she wouldn't lift a finger to help.
Sadly, the Dustin family didn't appreciate Brittany; instead, their attitude towards her was downright awful.
"Alright, I owe you a meal next time."
Hannah chuckled, "Sounds good."
After hanging up, Hannah waltzed into the bathroom, humming a tune, with her phone vibrating behind her.
A string of unknown numbers was displayed on her phone screen.
"Derek, based on our intel, the one who saved Katelin was Hannah from the Chester family."
The bodyguard asked around the nurse station and found out that the CCTV was out of order when Katelin was brought in, so no image was captured. But the CCTV was back on when Hannah came to inquire about the situation.
He surmised that it was Hannah who brought Katelin in.
"The Chester family?"
"Yes, Lionel Chester's sister." The bodyguard calmly replied.
Derek glanced at Katelin, who was lying on the hospital bed, "Get in touch with the Chester family; see what they want as a reward; whatever they say, forget it; just give me Hannah's contact, and I'll call her myself."
"Alright."
Hannah came out from the bathroom seeing several missed calls, furrowed her eyebrows, and dialed back.
The call was quickly picked up, "Ms. Chester."
"Who's this?" Hannah thought the male voice on the other end was pleasant. She frowned and questioned him back.
"Ms. Chester, you saved my grandma this afternoon. I'm Derek; can I treat you to a meal?”
Hannah replied. “About this afternoon, actually, it wasn't me."
It was Brittany who saved her. She just offered some help.
"Ms. Chester, I've reserved a table at Trattoria del Mare; we can meet up tomorrow night; is that okay?"
Derek was a bit of a hard-nosed guy and liked to take the lead.
Hannah wasn't fond of his personality, but the food at Trattoria del Mare was delightful, "Alright, see you tomorrow."
The next afternoon.
Hannah arrived at Trattoria del Mare and as soon as she parked her car, she saw a man approaching.
She had seen her fair share of hunks, but the man in front of her definitely ranked in her top three.
He was more on the mature side. His hair was short and neat, his facial features were handsome, and he had a stern look in his eyes. All in all, the man looked very noble, and he had an ineffable elite aura.
"Ms. Chester, hello, I'm Derek."
Hannah was so focused on his face that she was jolted back to reality by his voice. She nervously swallowed and said, "Hi."
His large hand was on her waist as he carefully maneuvered her to avoid his own wound. He pulled her into his arms as he deeply inhaled her scent.
It was sweet.
"Night, Bri."
Brittany responded and fell asleep in no time.
Isaac waited for her to fall asleep as he gently touched her forehead, then closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
Brittany had a peaceful sleep.
When she woke up, there was nobody beside her.
"Zakky?"
Brittany quickly propped herself up, hopped off the bed, sat on the wheelchair, and searched around the ward but found no one.
He must have gone for a check-up, so she left the ward and headed for the examination room.
The door to the examination room was tightly closed, indicating that someone was definitely inside, so Brittany chose to wait outside.
Suddenly, there was a noise.
"Bri, what are you doing in the hospital?"
Zella, dressed in a patient gown, walked out of the examination room. Her right hand was wrapped in a bandage and she looked a bit pale.
