He laid it out for her, what more did Brittany want? Did she expect him to just stand by and watch the Dustin family go bankrupt?
What right did he have to blame Brittany? Brittany sneered, "Robert, the Dustin family going bankrupt is just a matter of time. Instead of hassling me, you should be figuring out which restaurant you'll be washing dishes at!"
She was determined to get Robert out of the Dustin family. This was only the beginning!
Beep beep...
Isaac had arrived.
Brittany softened her gaze at the sight of the car parked by the curb. "I'll be heading off, it's getting late."
Robert was red-faced and fuming. Brittany was truly Julie Russell's daughter, so cruel at her own family!
"Brittany, when you get dumped by a man, don't come crying to me!"
Robert glanced at the car. That man was living off a woman! He knew it, Brittany must have been swayed by some man, why else would she refuse to come back?
Brittany found it amusing. She had been abandoned long ago. Her parents, Finn Boulton, one abandonment after another made her realize that there was no one in this world she could depend on, except herself.
Brittany walked to the car and opened the passenger door. "Sorry to keep you waiting, Zakky."
Isaac looked away, shaking his head. "No problem."
Brittany got in. "Let's go."
As the car drove away, Robert was so furious he felt faint. He was totally hopeless!
Brittany was in high spirits and was not bothered by Robert's appearance.
"Zakky, my studio is hiring new people soon. We're planning a meal out, you and grandma should come too!"
She had shortlisted a few resumes. If all goes well, she would discuss the salary and benefits with the new hires tomorrow.
Isaac wasn't a fan of lively gatherings, but grandma might enjoy the hustle and bustle.
"We'll see."
Back at home, Grace Salter was delighted that the first day's sales were through the roof and wanted to celebrate.
"Grandma."
Brittany stopped Grace and gently said, "In a few days, my studio is hiring new people. After we've sorted out the paperwork, I'd like to treat you to dinner at Trattoria del Mare, how does that sound?"
With Wesley's help, the sales of the new product skyrocketed. Just three days in, they broke the sales record for personal studios.
Brittany seized the opportunity to hire a dozen new employees, mostly fresh graduates. Although lacking in experience, they were full of innovative ideas. She invested heavily in bringing seven seasoned industry professionals on board. In just a few days, the number of employees in the studio had surged.
Brittany called Kari in for a private talk.
"Brittany, or should I say Ms. Dustin, did you need something?"
The new hires all addressed her as Ms. Dustin, and Kari felt it was inappropriate to keep calling her Brittany, so she switched as well.
Brittany pulled out a document from her drawer and pushed it towards Kari. "You can still call me Brittany in private."
Kari took the document, "Brittany, what's this?"
"Open it and see."
Kari nodded and opened the document, her eyes widened in shock. It was a stock agreement. She had been given five percent of the shares, making her the third largest shareholder after Brittany and Wesley!
"Brittany!"
