As soon as she spoke, the bodyguards swarmed forward.

Before Victoria could react, she was forcefully restrained. A sharp pain shot through her knee as she lost her balance and was forced into a half-kneeling position.

Her knee hit the marble floor with a dull thud.

Laurel tossed an ink pad in front of her, looking down imperiously. "You can do it yourself, or I can have someone help you. Your choice!"

"Let me go," Victoria said, forcing the words out through the searing pain in her kneecap as she looked straight up at Laurel.

Despite the difference in their positions, one high and one low, Victoria showed no sign of weakness or retreat.

Laurel was taken aback by her gaze but quickly recovered with a contemptuous sneer. "Let you go? What other tricks are you planning to stall for more time? Victoria, I advise you to drop the idea right now and obediently press your thumbprint on this divorce agreement. Otherwise—"

"If you don't let me go, I won't press my thumbprint."

"You—Fine, very fine! It seems you're determined to do this the hard way!"

Laurel's face was livid. She barked an order, "Butler, press her thumbprint on it directly, and then throw her out of here!"

The butler immediately moved forward, grabbing Victoria's hand and forcing it toward the ink pad.

Laurel clutched her chest, about to breathe a sigh of relief, when she noticed that Victoria wasn't resisting at all. In fact, she was cooperating with the butler's force.
