The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 339

At the front desk of The Cloudscape.

Jonah’s lips curled into a satisfied, meaningful smirk when he heard Victoria’s response.

He ended the call and pulled out a thick stack of cash, handing it to the waiter. “When she gets here, take her directly to the suite. Here, this is for your trouble.”

The waiter’s eyes lit up as he glanced at the thickness of the stack. He eagerly took the money with both hands.

That had to be several thousand dollars, more than his entire monthly salary! He wouldn’t mind a few more gigs like this.

Lucian walked back in after finishing a cigarette outside. His eyes casually swept over the shattered glass and pool of red wine on the floor. “All set?”

Jonah, who had been lazily leaning against the front desk, immediately straightened up at the sight of Lucian. A triumphant expression crossed his face as he held up two fingers. “When Jonah Chase takes care of something, he doesn’t fail. Victoria said she’ll be here in twenty minutes.”

“Good. Let’s go.” Lucian calmly put his lighter back into his coat pocket and strode toward the main entrance.

“Hey!”

Seeing him about to leave again, Jonah quickly caught up, draping an arm over Lucian’s shoulder. “Thorne, aren’t we going to stay and watch?”

“Watch what?” Lucian asked without stopping or turning his head.

“Watching Elias try to win his wife back, of course. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime show.”

Lucian shrugged his arm off with a humorless smile. “Jonah, if you have a death wish and don’t want to live anymore, I won’t stop you from finding it. But don’t you dare try to drag me down with you.”

At those words, an image of Elias’s cold, stern face flashed in Jonah’s mind. A sudden chill ran down his spine, and the burning desire to watch the drama unfold was instantly extin Holtished, vanishing without a trace.

“Never mind, never mind. My life is more important,” Jonah muttered to himself. He looked up and saw Lucian was already heading down the steps. He hurried to catch up. “Thorne, I didn’t drive. Give me a ride!”

Meanwhile, the waiter, lost in the joy of counting his money, was jolted back to reality by the sight of the broken bottle on the floor. He shouted after Jonah’s retreating fi Holtre, “Sir, you haven’t paid for the bottle of wine yet!”
