Elias's eyes darkened. After a moment, he asked in a low voice, "Have you found Henry?"
"We checked Henry’s residence abroad. His landlord said he moved out two months ago."
"Also, Henry’s entry and exit records show he’s still overseas, but… we can't rule out the possibility that he smuggled himself back into the country," Hawk reported. "If he did, it'll take some time to find him."
"Double the manpower. Tear the city apart if you have to, but find him!" Elias commanded coldly.
"Yes, sir!"
Hawk confirmed, then paused. "Mr. Shawn, should we… intervene and cancel the awards ceremony? The news of Rose's death won't stay quiet for long. Once it gets out, Miss Sanger's situation might…"
Hawk didn't finish, but the implication was clear.
With Rose dead, everything in her video would now be treated as fact, with no one to refute her claims.
The public opinion that had just started to calm down would erupt again, and Victoria's position would become even worse.
Elias's brow furrowed tightly, but he said nothing.
Just then, the bedroom door opened from the inside.
He glanced at the figure emerging from the bedroom and said to Hawk, "I'll call you back later."
He then hung up.
Victoria had been in the bedroom and hadn't heard any noise from the living room, so she assumed Elias had fallen asleep. After much hesitation, she decided to come out for a glass of water.
But the moment she stepped out, her eyes met Elias's.
"Cough… cough, cough…" Elias suddenly let out a few coughs.
A vein throbbed in Victoria's temple. Remembering his fever from this morning, she asked hesitantly, "Has your… fever gone down?"
