Ever since Rose posted her video online, different people had been staking out Willow Creek Estates every day.

Even before the car accident, Victoria hadn't left her apartment for three consecutive days.

The groceries in the fridge were what Sunny had bought a couple of days ago. There wasn't much left, so Victoria only managed to make three simple dishes.

Elias glanced at the food on the table, his brow furrowing slightly.

"Is this supposed to be food?"

Victoria, who had been about to serve him soup, frown. She turned and walked out of the kitchen.

She placed the soup bowl in front of him with a smile that didn't reach her eyes. "Mr. Shawn, this is all I have. If you don't want to eat it, you can get up, turn around, and see yourself out. The door is over there."

Lashing out once was a novelty. Twice was pushing it.

Elias's eyes darkened, and he called out her full name. "VICTORIA SANGER!"

Although she had slept deeply last night, it hadn't been for long. And having to deal with two grown men first thing in the morning had worn her patience thin.

"You sit here," Elias said coldly. He then walked around to the seat Victoria had been about to take and sat down himself.

Victoria frowned, completely baffled by his behavior. The moment he moved away, she tried to stand up, but Elias seemed to read her mind and threatened her in a low voice.

"Victoria, if you dare get up, I'll throw that cat out the window."

"Meow!"

Dawn, who had been quietly licking her fur at the foot of the table, seemed to understand and let out a sharp meow at Elias.
