"That's me."
Genevieve seemed to have been expecting someone. The moment the delivery person finished speaking, she opened her office door and walked out. Seeing what he was holding, she feigned surprise. "This is…"
"Oh my god, look at those roses! There must be hundreds of them!" The 'suck-up' Sunny had just been complaining about was the first to ask in shock, "Director Vale, are those from your boyfriend?"
"Isn't it obvious?! With that many red roses, they have to be from Director Vale's boyfriend! Director Vale, your boyfriend is so good to you, I'm so jealous!"
"Wait, is Director Vale's boyfriend Mr. Shawn from The Shawn Group?"
"Yeah, it's all over the news… Director Vale, give us the scoop. You and Mr. Shawn?"
Hearing this, a barely perceptible smile touched Genevieve's lips. She said shyly, "Let's just keep this between us. Elias and I agreed not to go public with it for now, so please don't spread it around."
She even used his first name, 'Elias.' Despite her ambiguous words, everyone was now certain of their relationship.
A little while later, several more delivery people arrived with food for Genevieve to sign for.
For a moment, the office was buzzing with excitement again.
Genevieve, looking bashful, told everyone to share the food.
Sunny couldn't stand the atmosphere of fawning over the powerful. Without waiting for the official lunch break, she grabbed Victoria and headed for the door.
The moment they were out of the Design Institute's main entrance, she started imitating Genevieve's tone, putting on a high-pitched voice. "Oh, Elias, really, why did you order so much? I can't possibly eat all of this by myself~ It's almost lunchtime, why don't you all share some~"
"Ugh—it's like she's terrified people don't know she's with Mr. Shawn!"
Victoria couldn't help but laugh. "Sunny, you're wasted at the Design Institute. You should be an impersonator."
Sunny puffed out her cheeks. "Victoria, I'm being upset on your behalf, and you're laughing at me."
"I don't care about it."
"How can you not care? You worked so hard, and it all came to nothing. If it were me, I'd raise hell with corporate! Worst case, I'd just quit!"
Victoria suddenly thought she might have been a little wrong. The workplace wasn't entirely devoid of sincerity. For example, there was Sunny.
Victoria took her arm and pushed open the restaurant door. "Alright, alright, don't be angry. You'll stress yourself into a health problem, and your already pitiful salary will be in even worse shape. Besides, who knows how long Genevieve will last in that position."
Sunny froze, then turned to look at Victoria.
Victoria just winked at her without explaining further and handed her the menu. "See what you want. My treat."

Genevieve returned to her office and stood before the one-way glass window. Her lips curled into a satisfied smirk as she watched her subordinates outside, all enjoying the little scraps she had thrown them. She then turned her gaze to the enormous bouquet of red roses.
