Tangled in his Obsession novel Chapter 57

Seraphina didn't seem too bothered. "It's nothing, just a bit sore."

"Let me see." Balch's voice was soft and low.

Seraphina paused at that, then looked Balch in the eye.

His expression remained unchanged, but there was an unyielding firmness in his gaze.

"You really want to see?" she asked.

"I just want to see how bad it is," Balch replied.

Hearing that, Seraphina lifted her shirt to reveal her waist.

There were clear red marks on her otherwise delicate waist.

Only a man could cause such marks, and it was clear who that man was.

Balch's gaze slowly moved up to her neck. He then reached out and gently pulled aside Seraphina's collar, revealing the love bites on her neck.

Throughout all this, he was silent, and so was Seraphina.

"Are there any other injuries?" Balch asked.

"No, he didn't get that far," Seraphina replied. "I wouldn't let him."

Balch just looked at her. "Does it hurt?"

Seraphina shook her head. Then, she leaned into Balch's arms and hugged him.

The next day, Balch and Seraphina were seen hand in hand at a fancy restaurant, causing a new wave of gossip.

Apart from condemning Seraphina for two-timing, the rest was all pity - pity for Leandro, and pity for Balch. But most of the pity was for Balch, who was the official boyfriend in this love triangle.

Yet, it seemed that Seraphina had bewitched him. Everyone knew she was cheating with Leandro, but Balch acted as if nothing was wrong, publicly displaying their relationship without any hesitation.

Amid the escalating gossip, Balch became the object of public sympathy. Everyone was speculating what kind of spell he was under to let Seraphina trample over his male pride.

In the meanwhile, Seraphina was behaving herself, staying at home and only contacting Conway over the phone.

But two days later, Conway threw a tantrum. No matter how much Seraphina tried to soothe him over the phone, he wouldn’t have it and even stopped answering her calls.

Seraphina tried to coax him with voice messages, but Conway's phone ended up in Leandro's office.
