Tangled in his Obsession novel Chapter 55

Seraphina swept up her hair and took a quick shower.

Stepping out of the bathroom, towel-dried, she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror.

Her skin was delicate, marking easily

Right then and there, she could clearly see the love bites on her neck and the scratches on her thighs.

She thought back to what just happened. Was Leandro venting or intentionally leaving these marks on her?

Seraphina didn't dwell on it too long, because she had something else on her mind.

After a moment of silence, she reached out her hand. Following the traces left by Leandro, she pressed harder, creating more obvious marks on her neck.

After she was done, she put on the dress she had picked out earlier, only to find that its design couldn't hide the marks on her neck.

Seraphina walked out of the bathroom and opened her wardrobe to look for another outfit.

Most of her clothes from the past were too childish, and with her body's development, not many of them fit anymore.

As she was digging deep into her wardrobe, Seraphina suddenly froze.

She saw a red dress.

The one she had wanted to wear on her eighteenth birthday, especially for Leandro.

She had worn it, and he had seen it, but everything had gone off track that day.

Seraphina stood still, until there was a knock at the door.

"Who is it?" Seraphina asked quietly.

"Ms. Bennett, it's me." Lacy's voice sounded from outside, "Conway fell asleep again. You can rest now."

Seraphina had predicted that Leandro wouldn't refuse, but she never expected that he would personally drive her home.

The roads were clear in the early morning, yet the atmosphere in the car was incredibly tense.

Seraphina sat quietly in the passenger seat, humming a tune, tapping the rhythm with her fingers, appearing utterly indifferent to Leandro's presence.

Half an hour later, the car stopped at the entrance of the neighborhood where Seraphina now lived.

Only then did Seraphina turn to look at Leandro, her smile radiant. "Thank you, Mr. Reynolds."

Leandro didn't respond. He wound down the window, lit a cigarette, took a drag, and finally looked at her, "For what?"

Seraphina didn't seem in a hurry to get out of the car. Hearing Leandro's question, she laughed, leaning back in her seat, "Of course, for all the help you've given me, and for the ride home."

The entrance to the neighborhood was brightly lit, making her red dress even more stunning. The ambiguous marks on her neck and shoulders were even more noticeable.
