Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 54

When Leo saw Mia in the room, he let out a panicked yell. It was like he had seen something that scared the hell out of him.

Mia flashed a brilliant smile.

"Hey dude, what's up?"

The entire room was gobsmacked!

Everyone was staring at Mia and Leo. Even his uncle, Andre, was taken aback. Were his wife and nephew classmates?

Out of the blue, his most fearsome uncle got hitched to his most feared classmate. Leo turned tail, wanting to bolt out of this pickle, thinking to himself, “better safe than sorry.”

Mia and Andre both commanded in unison, "Get back here!"

They exchanged a glance as newlyweds.

Leo was stoked to go home, only to be hit with some bad news on his first day back.

First bit of bad news, his uncle was home.

Second bit of bad news, Mia was at his house.

Third bit of bad news, his uncle married Mia.

Looked like his good times were over.

Everyone in the room was dumbstruck; the tone Mia used to address Leo hinted at some unfinished business between them.

Hansen was the first to ask, "Mia, you and Leo are classmates?"

Mia nodded, "We've been classmates since grade school."

"Elementary school, middle school, high school, classmates throughout." Leo added in a downbeat tone.

Mia chuckled, "Yes, we've been classmates all along."

Seeing his wife's awkward laughter, Andre furrowed his brows. His wife and nephew had been classmates for over a decade?

They were seated together for the first time in third grade. Leo was the 'big shot' at school. When he and Mia were seated together, he began bossing her around, "Mia, clean the desk for me, organize my locker, and do my homework. If you don't, I'll beat you up."

Mia retorted, "You want to beat me up?"

"Got a problem with that, huh?"

Mia stood up, stomping on the chair and swung a punch at Leo's head. Before he could react, she grabbed his hair, smashing him onto the table, "You wanna boss me around? Who do you think you are?"

That was the first time Leo got beaten up by Mia. That incident left a deep imprint in his childhood memory. Since then, he was in charge of cleaning Mia's desk, organizing her locker, and even doing her homework.

...

In middle school, he shot up in height. He was the tallest among his peers, which gave him newfound confidence. He remembered the humiliation from his childhood and wanted to get back at Mia.

So, he challenged her.

"If I win, you'll continue to be my desk mate, cleaning my desk, organizing my locker, and doing my homework. If I lose, I'll serve you in your class. How about that?" Mia laid out her terms to Leo.

"Deal."

Leo, brimming with confidence, challenged Mia.

In front of everyone, in the large classroom, within five seconds, he was floored by Mia, clutching his groin, unable to get up.

Hansen called his grandson back to sit with him, "Stay with grandpa. Your uncle won't dare do anything to you."

Mia's gaze never left Leo, and she asked with a smile, "Leo, so you're scared of my husband, huh?"

The vibrant young man was now timid as a mouse, sitting quietly next to Hansen.

No one expected Mia and Leo to know each other. The parties involved also found it surprising, especially Mia, finding out Leo was a part of the prestigious Cedillo family was quite amusing.

Andre and Mia originally planned to move out in the morning, but due to Leo's return, they decided to move in the afternoon.

During lunch, Leo gave Mia a look. They had been classmates for ten years, so their understanding of each other were spot on. He just winked, and Mia knew what he was up to.

Mia found an opportunity to sneak off to the staircase. Seeing no one in the house paying attention to them, Leo grabbed Mia's wrist and headed for the backyard of the Cedillo family.

This scene was caught by a man standing on the second floor. Andre rested his hands on the railing, watching the direction his nephew and wife ran off in, his eyes no longer gentle. He tried to act as if nothing happened, walked down the stairs, and followed the direction to the backyard.

At the backyard cabin, Mia wrenched her hand out of Leo's grip. "Dude, I'm your aunt-in-law now, you should keep a decent distance."

"I ain't calling you 'aunt'! Mia, how could you marry that guy - my uncle?" Leo challenged Mia.

Mia just chuckled. "Shouldn't you be worried about me spilling the beans about your school drama to your family?"

Leo was miffed. It felt wrong to see Mia marrying his uncle. "You could've married anyone else, why my uncle?"

"Is there a problem with me marrying your uncle?"

Leo whispered something in Mia's ear.

"Really?!" Mia's eyes grew wide with shock, her hands covering her mouth, "My husband, your uncle, really...?"
