Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 52

Naomi stared at Mia Irwin's solemn face, thinking to herself that people couldn’t fake true emotion in their eyes. She saw sincerity in Mia's.

Naomi suddenly remembered that night in the hotel, her husband told her he'd been played by Jillian, but she didn't believe him. Mia also said that someone was trying to drive a wedge between her and Naomi.

"So, after you got home that day..." Naomi asked Mia, "What did you and Jillian talk about in the afternoon that made her cry?"

"That day, I was the one who sought her out," Andre came out from behind.

He was in the house waiting for Mia to bring water, and ended up waiting till he finished his meal.

He went out to find Mia, and as soon as he stepped out, he saw the two ladies talking in the living room.

Andre hurried downstairs. He also overheard their conversation. He didn't show himself, and he hid in the shadows. Slowly, Andre understood their conversation.

When Naomi questioned Mia, he said to Naomi, "Naomi, Mia and Jillian only met three times. I was present each time. They never argued. That day I just wanted to talk to Jillian."

Naomi looked up at the tall Andre, "Was it really you?"

"Yes, it was me. That day, I spoke to Jillian to advise her not to waste her time on a love that won't lead anywhere. She has strong feelings for me, but I already have a wife, Mia."

Mia looked up at her husband next to her, "Yes, I remember that day you father told me to get rid of her, I sent Hansen away and left you two alone."

Naomi couldn't believe it. She blinked rapidly, "It was you?"

Andre answered, "Why would I lie to you? I just heard most of your conversation, I know what you've been worrying about. Tonight, I can tell you very clearly, the title of 'Lady of Cedillo Inc.', my wife doesn't want it. I will never touch the part of Cedillo Inc. that belongs to Leo."

Knowing Andre and Jillian had nothing to do with each other, Mia was as shocked as Naomi. She lightly hit Andre, "You don't like Jillian?"

Andre asked Mia, "Do you think I would marry someone else if I already have someone I love?" And she was that "someone else".

Mia thought for a moment, she looked at Andre again, then shook her head. If Andre had someone he loved, he definitely wouldn't have married her.

"You should have said so earlier. I had called you all sorts of bad names in my heart."

Mia was straightforward, and she spoke without thinking. After she finished, she was a little stunned.

Andre laughed and asked, "What did you call me?"

Although he was laughing, Mia was a bit scared.

She once mistakenly thought that Jillian and Andre were lovers, and she once cursed Andre in her heart, thinking he was a jerk. Having a girlfriend already and still marrying her, he was a wimp.

Even the kiss not long ago, Mia had found it hard to accept. Turned out, Andre and Jillian were just platonic friends. Everything that happened was due to Naomi's misleading and her own imagination.

Mia and Andre stared at each other, her heart beat faster, and she immediately turned her face away. Then, she said to Naomi, "You should go back and think about this, whether there is someone stirring things up behind your back."

Andre held Mia's hand and asked, "Did you get the water ready?"

"It’s ready." Mia obediently replied, and raised the water bottle in her hand for Andre to see.

"You go rest."

Andre walked past Naomi with Mia. Only Naomi was left in the living room lost in thought.

In the bedroom, Andre asked again about that question, "What bad names did you call me?"

"Why are you like a sparrow, constantly chattering?" She talked too much.

Mia, "Why are you so nosy? Weren't you the one who told me to speak?"

Even if he shut up, Mia still took the initiative to ask, "Hey, do you think my sister-in-law will think about this?"

"You go ask her."

"You're mocking me!" Mia glared at Andre.

Andre smiled; seeing him smile had Mia quite amused. She pushed Andre, giggling, "Move, don't sit on my sofa. I'm going to sleep."

As for what Naomi would think, Mia didn't plan to delve into it.

She had explained, and even Andre had personally explained. If Naomi still didn't believe it, they could do anything about it. She didn't care about Naomi's thoughts. Mia also understood Andre's sarcasm; he probably thought the same.

In another bedroom.

Naomi stumbled back into the bedroom, nudging her snoring husband awake. "Hey babe, you told me Jillian's been playing me, can you tell me why?"

Bruce fumbled for his glasses on the nightstand and propped himself up with an arm. "Why on earth are you still up at this ungodly hour?"

Naomi was insistent, "Can you snap out of it, love? Why did you say Jillian was messing with me?"

Bruce, agitated by his wife's question, finally sat up, looking at her over his glasses, "Have you not figured it out yet after all this time? Jillian's got the hots for Andre, and Andre's married to Mia. So, Mia’s her love rival, right? The Cedillo family has one rule, she's not welcome here in this family. She couldn’t come here, so of course she's using you to stir up trouble behind Mia's back, disrupting our peace, making everyone turn against Mia, all the while creating opportunities for herself... You love all that gossip stuff, how have you not caught onto this?"
