Top floor of Crescent Park.
By the time Andre arrived, the other four were already waiting for him.
Conner, dressed in a rust-colored shirt with a black tie, looked sharp. Seeing Andre, his eyes twinkled with mischief, "Look who it is, the newlywed."
No sooner had Andre sat down than Mars leaned in and said, "So I hear from Conner, that your wife ran away, and you've got a new lady in your life?"
Asher joked, "You sure know how to live it up, don't you?"
Andre turned to Teddy, "What's your take?"
Teddy just shrugged, "I'm not looking for trouble."
"What do you mean?" Mars asked Teddy.
"I mean I'm gonna drag your dead body to the Arrowood family for some cash." Teddy retorted.
"You're quite the businessman," Andre admitted.
He then took off his suit jacket, stretched his wrists and looked at his three friends. "So, who should I deal with first?"
Mars: "…"
Conner: "…"
Asher: "…"
"I suggest you take care of Mars first, then Conner, and save Asher for last," Teddy advised.
"Thanks for the tip, bro. Let's just call it a night." Mars shot Teddy a look and took off.
An hour later, the five of them finally settled down for a peaceful drink.
Conner's wrist had been injured by Andre. He raised his glass to Andre with his left hand, moving his right wrist around, "Cheers to your marriage."
Mars took the brunt of it, his ass still stinging. Andre had kicked him in the butt, sending him flying onto the couch. Given that Andre could kick open doors, it wasn't hard to imagine how sore Mars' ass was.
Asher was luckier than the other two, he didn't get hurt because he begged for mercy right away.
"Was that sweet voice on the phone your wife or your new squeeze, Andre?" Conner asked, puzzled.
"You're such a dunce, obviously it's the new squeeze. Andre's wife ran off, even if she came back, Andre wouldn't take her back. Plus, he never loved his wife," Mars blurted out.
"You're right. His wife wouldn't talk to him like that. Only his new squeeze would," Conner agreed.
Andre didn't say anything, but his knuckles cracked as he clenched his fists. Both Conner and Mars looked terrified as Andre glared at them.
"Did... did we get it wrong?"
Conner was very uneasy.
Mars quickly covered his butt, "You don't tell us what's going on, but you won't let us speculate either. And when we do speculate, you don't want to hear it and want to argue! Andre, are we still friends?!"
Teddy tried to mediate. He offered Andre a glass of liquor, "Andre, calm down. Can you tell us what's going on?"
A friend suddenly got married, his wife suddenly disappeared, and a new woman suddenly came into his life...
Anyone would be curious about such a situation.
