This was the place where she, Aino, and Sebastian climbed out of their car three hours ago.
"Mommy, we..." Aino recognized the area immediately too.
But, just as Aino was about to say something, Sabrina covered her mouth with her palm. "Don't talk, sweetie."
She was worried the kid would accidentally betray her father again.
Beside them, Holden saw Sabrina's reaction and could not help sneering, "What do you want to stop your daughter from doing? You don't want me to know that your husband got down from his car right at this spot too? Sabrina, is there anything that happens on this Island that I, Holden Payne, don't know about?"
Hearing his words, Sabrina's heart sunk deep into the pit of her stomach.
She suppressed her despair and asked, "Can you tell m e where my husband is right now and whether he's dead or alive?”
Holden said, "If I told you, what would you do?"
Sabrina said straightforwardly, without any intention t o lie, "If he's dead, my daughter and I won’t live alone i n this world!”
Holden said, "You..."
"And if he's alive?” Holden asked again.
"I will definitely join him, and fight against you till the end!"
Holden:
"Where's my husband?" she asked again.
Holden smiled bitterly. "I have to tell you, I don't know where your husband is. I’m trying to locate him too, but I can’t."
Two hours ago, Holden left after dropping off Sabrina and Aino in the East Hall of the Payne manor, firstly to visit an ophthalmologist, and secondly to investigate and look around outside the manor to see whether Sebastian followed them.
However, he scanned through every corner of the manor, but he could not find a single sign of Sebastian’s presence.
It was as if he had disappeared into thin air.
Hearing Holden’s words, Sabrina's heart fell right back in place.
She knew her husband would not be so easily defeated.
That wolf-like man.
Since he came here empty-handed, he must have a plan in mind.
Proud, glorious words!
To fulfill his wish, he had to draw out a fool-proof plan!
Holden dusted his suit off and said to Sabrina in a gentlemanly tone, "Come on, I'll treat you and Aino to lunch. They specialize in the local cuisine, so most of the dishes are slightly sweet, they taste quite similar t o the food in Kidon City. You wouldn’t have had many chances in South City to taste such authentic food."
Sabrina said, "Okay."
Then, she held Aino's hand and followed behind Holden as he entered the Star Island International Hotel.
The moment they walked in, a staff member welcomed them and greeted them respectfully, "Good afternoon, Master Holden!"
"Good afternoon, Master Holden!"
"Greet Ms. Scott and the little princess too!" Holden reminded them.
All the staff members in the entire hall looked at Sabrina and Aino simultaneously.
Sabrina was tall and slim, wearing a fitting sky-blue shirt and a pair of fitting, bell-bottomed pants that accentuated her long, lean legs. Her clean features, combined with her calm expression, was like a breath of cool, fresh air in this extremely luxurious and
decked-out hotel.
