Mary let out a shiver when Sabrina’s expression sharpened.
After that, she smiled at Sabrina mockingly, "Your cousin told me you were back, and I thought it was fake. She even told me you came back here to do that sort of business and that you could take a few dozen men a night. I didn't want to believe it."
"However, now I believe it. You look like your business is so good that you don't even have time to change your clothes. Do you only do your business with your pajamas on?"
"Are you already dressed underneath?"
Sabrina was calmer as she quietly asked, "Mary, do we have any grudges against each other?"
In Sabrina's heart, she did not feel like she had any grudges with Mary.
At least, she did not feel that way now.
Although her father's death was due to the Smith family back then, Sabrina knew that her father's condition had already been impossible to cure. Her father would not have lived for over half a year even without the Smiths.
Moreover, Sabrina did not hold a grudge against the Smith family for what they did to her.
Mary, especially.
Sabrina felt that Mary was still a fourteen-year-old girl back then, no matter how vile Mary's parents were.
Mary was too young and ignorant.
Hence, Sabrina would not even have remembered that she stayed in Mary's home for a week before if it were not for Mary reminding Sabrina after so many years.
Sabrina might not have bothered about it, but Mary had never forgotten it.
The physical education teacher was no slouch, and he berated the children who were beating Sabrina up, so Mary could only leave with her group of punks.
The incident allowed Sabrina to avoid death.
After that, Mary wanted to find a chance to make a move on Sabrina again, but she did not expect that Sabrina would be guarded so well by her neighbours. Sabrina's granduncle and grandaunt would bring Sabrina home every day, and the old pair even had sticks in hand. Anyone would be hit by a stick if they dared to go near Sabrina or harm Sabrina.
Mary did not have a chance to do anything to Sabrina.
Sabrina and her mother then left the area, and Mary lost any chances she might have.
However, her hatred of Sabrina has never disappeared since then. 1
Mary was not very educated, and she was always with her gang of punks after graduating middle school. She even had an abortion before and never attended high school or university.
