Still Wanna Escape After Stealing My Heart? novel Chapter 67

Before Sebastian's eyes was a blueprint that was drawn to perfection by hand, filled with detailed annotations around the edges in neat writings. The one in his hands was extremely similar to the one he had found outside Sabrina's room a few days ago, the only differences were that the draft he found was not a s elaborated as the current one; and there had been a few amendments made to perfect it.

"Who brought this in?" Sebastian turned to ask the assistant next to him.

"Oh, this was brought in by the Conor Group director's assistant, Miss...Miss Scott."

"Take me to her right now!" Sebastian commanded immediately.

"Yes, Director Ford."

The assistant led Sebastian out from the meeting room and explained along the way, "Director Ford, Miss Scott is waiting at the reception so you should be able to see her right away." 1

"Sure," Sebastian responded.

Sabrina, who was previously waiting at the reception, was startled when she caught on to Sebastian's voice.' Why is it him?' she thought. For reasons she couldn't begin to explain, she did not want to see Sebastian under these circumstances. The last thing she wanted

was to be associated with Sebastian in any way apart from their connection to his mother. She was well-aware that this was a man she mustn't mess with, knowing that she could not risk angering the man. Sabrina stood abruptly and ran, and was already in the elevator with her finger on the descending button before Sebastian stepped out. 1

"Where is Miss Scott? She was here just now." The assistant looked around but was unable to find her.

Sebastian, on the other hand, moved towards the window and looked down calmly between the gaps of the blind. Soon, a slim figure appeared at the roads that seemed out-of-the-place, alone and distant in this big city, like she had been living in her own bubble. 1

"Um..." Sabrina hesitated for a moment before asking," Is it okay if I get off work an hour earlier than usual tomorrow?"

"Of course!" The director approved immediately.

"Thank you, thank you, director." And with that, Sabrina stepped out of the director's office.

The director looked at Sabrina as she walked away and chuckled in contempt. "How unsophisticated," he mocked. There were countless beauties in the office who wore different fashionable outfits every day to work and amongst them, Sabrina stuck out like a sore thumb, so much so that she wasn't even viewed as equals by her colleagues who thought of her as a maid.

Whenever Sabrina was not around, the people at the office would always gossip about her, saying things like, "I wonder why the director would hire such a bumpkin into this company? Just to run errands? We could have just hired a helper specifically for that."
