How could they both fall into Sabrina's trap like this?
Lincoln’s slap had landed on Jade's cheek, making her cheek burn as if on fire. The stunned Jade froze for a few seconds in place, before starting to bite and kick a t her husband savagely.
Being attacked by his wife infuriated Lincoln as well. He grabbed onto Jade's hair and threw her aside with all his might.
When could a woman ever beat a man in a real fight?
Much less Jade, who had spent all her life in cushy environments.
Before she could manage to grab onto her husband, Lincoln quickly threw a kick at her. When she tried to return the attack, he tugged at her hair with so much force that a patch of her hair was starting to fall out. When he finally let go, there was a bleeding bald spot on Jade's scalp in place of hair.
It was only when her face and body were littered with cuts and bruises from the beating, that Jade decided not to move anymore.
"Go home!" Lincoln shouted while viciously kicking at Jade's waist.
Jade, who didn't dare to say another word, scrambled home in a rush.
After stumbling for a few meters, she glared at Sabrina angrily.
Meanwhile, Sabrina had just stood by while watching the entire incident calmly.
She was neither happy nor sad and her face expressionless.
Even when Jade shot her ferocious look, Sabrina did not react at all.
When Jade finally left, Lincoln turned his attention to Sabrina and looked at her with disdain.
"Don't you dare try to hit me like you did to your wife," Sabrina warned him with a steady tone. "If you dare lay a finger on me, I will stab you to death!"
Lincoln, suddenly taken aback, stopped moving.
Though her words were harsh, Sabrina wasn’t expressing her resentment.
In fact, Lincoln had even felt a certain kind of assurance from her calm voice. She wasn't joking when she said that she would stab him to death.
"I'm afraid not," Sabrina raised her eyebrows and continued. "You don't know what it's like to bring up your own child in this world. I do hope you get to experience it some day, so that you can also get a taste of what it feels like to have your child exiled and bullied by others! Let's see if you can sleep at night when that happens?"
After saying that, Sabrina turned around and left.
For some reason, Lincoln, who didn't move an inch,
started to burst into tears.
When Sabrina reached the bus station, she quickly checked the time on her phone. It was almost time to attend the party. As such, she decided to take a taxi instead and headed straight for the hotel that Emma had instructed her to meet at yesterday.
While she was on the way there, Sabrina received a call from an unknown number.
"Hello, who is this?"
The caller at the other end didn't speak at first. After a few seconds, she said, "Sabrina...I'm...Ruth Mann." Sabrina was shocked. "Ruth Mann?"
