She was not particularly interested in parties. She would refuse all that could be refused. However, as this matter would affect Aino's schooling atmosphere, she had no choice but to obey.
"What was wrong, Sabrina? You didn't want to go?
Was that why your phone had been turned off since yesterday, and you didn't reply to the group admin?" Susan's mother was a bit aggressive. 1
"No, no, Mrs. Sear. Let's chat in the group. I... I have to g o to work now." She heard Kingston's honk, so Sabrina spoke while turning around to run. She already understood what Susan's mother said, so she could not delay any longer.
Behind her, Susan's mother looked at Sabrina's back and muttered, "I think you were quite similar to that broke family. The clothes you were wearing were so mismatched. Which company would allow their collar workers to dress like you? I'm guessing that you were only doing some part-time job somewhere. You were still pretending! Did having a good car meant that your family was rich? Maybe your car was a rented unit. Otherwise, you wouldn't avoid us yesterday and not reply. Hmph!" 1
Sabrina naturally could not hear what Susan's mother said. Once she got in the car, she said to Kingston," Assistant Yates, please drive faster. I'm late for work."
Kingston instantly responded, "Madam, sit tight, I'll speed up immediately.”
Actually, he wanted to say, 'Madam, your schedule is tight, but actually, Master Sebastian's schedule is even tighter. So what had you been talking about with the madam?'
However, Kingston did not ask like that.
His driving speed was even and fast.
They arrived at the company in 20 minutes or so.
Sabrina glanced at the watch. She was not late, and then a smile instantly appeared on her face. She turned her head back and said to Sebastian briskly," Bye-bye...”
She then hobbled into the elevator.
Kingston, who was driving in front, immediately noticed it. "Master Sebastian, why did Madam have a little limp?”
Sebastian said, "Did you wish for your mouth to be sewn shut?"
Aino's parents’ group had no movement for two days i n a row, and Sabrina was left in peace.
Her work at the company was slightly smoother than before, and the female colleagues no longer gossiped about her.
That was great!
She would definitely do a better job for the next work task that followed.
However, such peaceful and quiet days only lasted for two days. On the third day, when Sabrina was buried i n work, a woman with luxurious dressing and a dignified face suddenly stood next to her.
"Excuse me, you are..." Sabrina was sure that she did not know this woman.
The woman, however, faked a smile. "Sabrina Scott, right? I knew a lot about you!"
