Still Wanna Escape After Stealing My Heart? novel Chapter 368

Sebastian kept quiet as he waited for Aino to speak.

Even though the little thing still called him Stinky Bum, she was clearly much more intimate to Sebastian now than when she first came to his home. Aino whispered into her father's ear mischievously,' Daddy, I've heard what Mommy said in her dream before."

He instinctively turned to Sabrina without saying a word.

Noticing his glance, Sabrina looked at the father and daughter with a confused expression.

Aino continued, "My mother was saying that she doesn't want to like you in her dream. However, I know what that actually means. She was trying to say that she likes you very much instead!"

Sebastian was taken aback by her keen insight.

This little thing!

As expected of his daughter, the five-year-old girl could already see through the words and actions of adults. She had understood her mother’s thoughts very well, which was probably how she managed to ruthlessly kill three birds with one stone, including defending her mother's rights, at the old Ford residence in the first place.

Sabrina, who was standing quite a distance away from the two of them, watched as they muttered to each other. In the end, she couldn't help but be curious. "What are the two of you talking about? Aino, what's the secret you told your dad about? Did you get into a fight in school again?"

Sabrina didn't realize that she had referred to Sebastian as 'your dad’ when she was talking to Aino. However, Sebastian heard her loud and clear.

At that moment, he suddenly realized that he was being tricked by the two of them! 1

He scoffed. "You’ve given birth to such a good daughter! One that's so skilled at protecting you!"

His words left Sabrina speechless.

"Get in!" Sebastian ordered.

Hearing this, the two of them quickly climbed into the car.

Even though it was just the three of them in the car heading home, Aino seemed more talkative than usual. She sat on her mother's lap and stared at the scenery they were passing by outside while making various remarks. She twittered away like a little sparrow all the way home.

Just seeing his guidance and instruction toward Aino had reassured Sabrina.

When they all returned home in the evening, Aino really did become much more obedient. During dinner, she didn't pick at her food at all, and ate both the meat and vegetables. After that, she went to play with Sebastian in her toy room as usual.

Sebastian would spare no expense when it came to buying toys for Aino. In fact, just the toy room itself already took up 200 square feet, equivalent to a small apartment. Not to mention, it was completely filled up with toys too.

Toys for boys, toys for girls, water guns, Barbie dolls, fighter jets, armored vehicles, kitchen toys, everything.

Seeing the father and daughter playing together so happily, Sabrina couldn't bring herself to interrupt them. She decided to head back to her small bedroom t o think about where to start her job search tomorrow.

When she thought about how she got fired after only two days at work, Sabrina realised that there might have been a lesson to be learned from that experience.

Perhaps working in an office as a designer didn’t suit her.

During the five or six years she spent in Ciarrai County, Sabrina had picked up some chore work at a construction site. Even before that, when she was just released from prison, Sabrina had spent her time taking care of Aunt Grace in the hospital as well, relying purely on her own skills.
