When he heard that, Ryan didn't know how to react.

After a moment, he started to speak again. "It's your first day of work today, so you shouldn't have much work assigned. How come you're not free? If your reporting officer is the one who asked you to work overtime on your first day, that'll harm the company's image. I'll go speak to her!"

Sabrina was taken aback by his words.

Then, Ryan raised his eyebrows and said with a smile, "Now that the overtime problem has been resolved, there's no reason for you to reject my invitation.”

"There's no reason,” Sabrina repeated softly.

Before he could react, Sabrina had already picked up her leftover dishes and got up to leave.

For a moment, Ryan was left speechless with his jaw agape.

As he looked at Sabrina leaving the cafeteria, he put his hand to his forehead and started to laugh. He then muttered to himself, "This girl is quite interesting."

All the employees who were watching, especially the women, were all stunned.

They could only widen their eyes when they heard the new female recruit embarrassing Ryan by rejecting his invitation. Yet, he did not get mad at all or even

kick the new unfashionable woman out!

Though Ryan himself was not angry, this group of female employees were livid!

Just when some of the female employees had wanted t o take the opportunity to comfort Ryan, his phone started to ring. He immediately got up and picked up the call at the same time.

After that, he walked out of the cafeteria while talking over the phone.

Just like that, the women who had wanted to comfort Ryan and get on his good side had lost their opportunity.

Linda was one of them.

She had worked at this company for five years, right after she graduated college at the age of twenty-two. When she first started, Linda had heard that this architectural design company was founded by a few rich scions. Initially, she had hoped to be able to hook up with one of them someday.

Yet, after five years, not only had she failed to do so, she was even unable to get a single boyfriend.

"If we were to compare Master Ryan to the director of Ford Group, who do you think is more powerful?" asked Sabrina.

"Master Sebastian of course!" Yvonne exclaimed.

Then everything was fine!

Sabrina had already offended Sebastian, so why would she be afraid of provoking Master Ryan?

Besides, she had merely rejected an invitation to go on a date, so he probably wouldn't feel too offended, right?

"I didn’t say much to him. I'm a newcomer, anyway. 0 n top of that, I don't know him at all, so why should I g o on a date with him?" replied Sabrina boldly while looking at Yvonne.

However, when she heard that, Yvonne replied in a sympathetic tone. "Sabrina, do you know how many women there are from this company, not to mention the entire South and Kidon Cities that would kill for the chance of a date with Master Ryan? They would probably never have gotten it either, and yet you rejected it so easily?"

Yvonne rambled on with such excitement without giving it much thought.

Sabrina guessed that she typically enjoyed gossiping.
