Sabrina thought she had misheard. "What... What did you say?"
"We'll reinstate our marriage!"
Sabrina didn’t know how to react.
After a brief pause, she started to speak again, with a cold tone. "We are enemies. You almost caused me to lose everything, and even sent my brother to another country. At one point you claimed that I had owed you ten million, but now all of a sudden you want to marry me again?
"Sebastian, I don't know what sort of games you play with those in your circles, but I don't intend to take part in them either. Can you just tell me what you want to do with me and get it over with?"
Sabrina’s words did not carry a single hint of anger. In fact it seemed like she was mumbling.
However, her words had conveyed her strong determination.
After she said that, Sabrina turned away from Sebastian, and shouted towards the toy room. "Aino, wash up, it’s time for bed.”
Whatever!
In this house, she and Aino held no power whatsoever.
Just half an hour ago, the two of them had fed their daughter together and took care of her. When he sat down in the toy room to build the wooden house for their daughter, it was as if they were a normal, warm family of three.
However, that was all just a temporary illusion.
Aino listened to Sabrina obediently and went to the bathroom to wash up. Then, Sabrina brought her into her room to sleep. Once Aino had fallen asleep, Sabrina left the room, but noticed that Sebastian was n o longer in the living room.
The door to Sebastian's study was shut.
Was he asleep?
Sabrina did not try to guess what Sebastian was doing in there, since he was such an unpredictable person. I n the end, she returned to her room to sleep.
That same night, she slept very uneasily, and dreamt about a lot of things.
She dreamt of the time when she had just left prison, the incredulity of the situation when Sebastian brought her the marriage agreement to sign on. She was actually going to do such a preposterous thing for a second time.
Sebastian was furious when he heard her words!
He grabbed Sabrina's wrist and gripped it until it turned pale. "Woman! Listen here! This time it's for your daughter, no, for my daughter! She is my daughter, so I definitely can't let her grow up with a broken family! If you don’t want your daughter to have another mother in this life, you'll do well to follow me obediently and get remarried to me!"
Sabrina asked in horror, "What did you say? She... what do you mean by her having another mother?"
Sebastian smiled without remorse. “You're not stupid. I n fact, you’re smarter than everyone else, so why don’t you figure it out yourself?"
"No!" Sabrina’s voice trembled. "No, you can't do this, Sebastian, you can't! I gave birth to Aino after carrying her in my belly for ten months. After that, I raised her for five years by myself. You did nothing during that time, and now you want to take her away? 4
"You were the one who didn't want us back then, and now you're trying to fight me for her?
"You’re being too unreasonable!"
Sebastian's smile did not wane. "Unreasonable? Have you gotten dumb after your pregnancy? Since the child is mine, she's a descendant of the Ford family by blood. Do you think you can get her back? In addition t o making sure you don't, I'll forbid you from seeing Aino ever again!" 1
"No..." Sabrina whimpered helplessly.
