Sebastian quickly fanned it for Aino. Once he felt that the corn was cool enough, he carefully put it into her mouth. As she ate it, joy spread throughout her body
"I want juice," Aino demanded.
Sabrina immediately went to get a fresh glass of orange juice for Aino.
"Corn!” Aino looked innocently at Sebastian.
Without skipping a beat, Sebastian put the corn into Aino's mouth.
Even back when he had no social status and lived his life drifting about, Sebastian had never served anyone like that before. It was his first time obeying anyone s o subserviently and serving them, much less a five year old girl.
As he looked at Aino eating away happily, a sense of fondness overwhelmed him
Sabrina furrowed her eyebrows and pretended to scold Aino but failed to hide her smile in the end. " Aino! You can't be like this! We might be from a small town, but I've always made sure that you had enough t o eat. Why are you eating just like a country bumpkin?
"You look so ugly eating away like this, without a care i n the world. 1 "My father doesn't think I'm ugly, right?" Aino turned
her gaze to Sebastian without stopping to chew. Nothing could bring her mood down now.
She had been throwing a tantrum at Sebastian since the start of their journey home, yet, at that moment, she forgot about her grudge after having some corn. She even forgot to refer to him as Stinky Bum.
Sabrina narrowed her eyes when she looked at Sebastian. "Why don't you teach her some table manners! If anyone saw how she was eating now, they would think that she hasn't been fed for eight lifetimes.
"My daughter can eat however she wants to!" Sebastian declared, doting on Aino. He then fed her some more corn.
Aino nodded in agreement, her mouth still full. "Yes!"
His daughter?
Sabrina suddenly snapped back to reality and stared numbly at Sebastian.
Realising this, Sebastian turned his attention to her as well.
She got down from her chair and shot Sebastian a grimace before vanishing to the toy room.
With only Sebastian and Sabrina left at the dining table now, the earlier exuberance in the air had all but disappeared.
"I..." Sabrina held a plate in her hands, but did not move her utensils. She looked at Sebastian and said," There's something I want to talk to you about."
Sebastian looked at Sabrina, his expression unchanged. "What is it?"
Sabrina bit her lips and started to say, "I misunderstood you. I thought you would be unpleasant towards Aino, but you actually acknowledge her, right? And because of that, you are able to tolerate me?"
Sebastian smiled frivolously. "You're getting smarter, now move on to the main point!"
Sabrina chose her words carefully. "I want to look for a job tomorrow."
"No!” Sebastian shouted, rejecting her request without a moment's hesitation.
