Yvonne was so confused when she heard i t. She then blurted out, "What did you say? You want me to get a divorce?"
On the other end of the line, Gloria said rather sadly, "Mm-hmm. I thought of my unfortunate marriage, and I think it’s meaningless for women to get married!"
Yvonne was speechless. She has always had a fear of marriage, and she has yet to b e married to Marcus. Marcus also did not rush her, anyway. The two of them had already done everything, and she had already moved into the Shaw family's house as Marcus' wife. The only thing that they have not done was get married. However, why did Gloria repeatedly stress that she should get a divorce? That was very strange.
Just as Yvonne wanted to ask something, Gloria hurriedly said on the other end of the line, "I'm hanging up." After that, she immediately hung up the call.
Yvonne looked at Sabrina. "That's very strange of her."
Sabrina was stunned She had a sense of foreboding. She no longer had the mind to have a picnic anymore, so she immediately got up and said, "This won't do. I have to go to my mother's house to have a look."
Yvonne and Ruth also got up. Both of them were already packing up. While Ruth was packing up, she said, "Let's hurry up before anything happens to Madam Gloria.
Quickly!"
Three of them, as well as the children, packed up all the cutleries and things for the picnic even quicker. One and a half hours later, Sabrina, Yvonne, and Ruth arrived at Gloria's house together. Sabrina got out of the car and quickly knocked on the door while shouting anxiously, "Mom, Mom, Mom!"
Nobody answered.
"Madam Gloria!"
After saying that, she was already sobbing. She was the one who did not care for her mother enough. If anything bad were to happen to her mother, how could Sabrina live? She was unable to accept that such a thing had happened. She was so frightened that her legs turned to jelly and she slowly dropped to the ground. It was the 160-centimeters-tall Aino who had held her mother.
"Mom, don't be afraid and don’t worry so much. I'm guessing that Grandma should b e fine. She should at least be safe for now because she was still able to pick up the phone when Aunt Yvonne called her an hour ago. That means she is still fine. Isn't that right, Mom?" Aino calmly looked at her mother and comforted her. While comforting her, she helped Sabrina to the couch and let her sit on it.
Sabrina looked at her 12-year-old daughter with a pleading gaze. "You're right, Aino. G o on, Aino, tell me more, quickly.”
Aino scanned the surroundings and went into her grandmother’s bedroom to have a look before she came out and said, "I have looked everywhere in Grandma's house.
There is no sign of a man living here, not even a little bit."
