Isadora thought that there was something wrong with her ears. "Minerva, what did you say?"
Minerva smiled and cried at the same time. "Isadora, come quickly. I saw Uncle Holden. It must be him. Come quickly."
Isadora was completely stunned. She was at a loss for words for a very long time.
"Isadora? Isadora?" Minerva called out at the other end of the phone.
"Yes." Isadora's voice sounded like a ghost.
Indeed, Holden had always been on Isadora's mind all day and every day, but she had never imagined that Holden could be alive. What was going on? Was it truly Holden? Did he not die? Isadora had no clue. At that moment, Isadora's senses and her heart were reacting slower than usual, so she only responded after a long time when Isadora called out to her.
"I will wait for you at the hospital. Come over quickly. Oh, right, take Aino with you. My uncle likes Aino the best. Quickly come over. I will first go and keep my uncle here so that he doesn't leave."
After saying that, Minerva hung up the call.
"Minerva..." A busy signal was already coming from Minerva's end of the call.
Life was great to her. The only thing was that her Uncle Holden was no longer able to return to the world of the living anymore. After Minerva came to South City, although she did not say anything, she had actually always felt very lonely. Even though Nigel had always been taking care of her, she was still very lonely for the majority of the time. It was that kind of loneliness that stemmed from being forced to be separated from her family and her life in the past, and also being forced to grow up. 1
She knew she had to be strong and unyielding. She knew that she could only make something of herself b y not relying on anybody. It was only then that she could make the Payne family proud. Therefore, this kind of loneliness had always been forcibly endured b y Minerva until she met her Uncle Holden in South City one day.
Her uncle was in grave danger, but even in such dangerous circumstances, he still protected her with all his might and main and left the last money he needed for fleeing and saving his life to her as her tuition fee. He told her as a child from the Payne family, she was not to rely on anybody. If there was anything that she needed, he would resolve it all for her.
At that moment, Minerva truly wanted to burst out bawling. However, before she was able to talk to her uncle, he had already escaped and there was no news of him anymore.
