She really did not want to waste her breath on anyone here.
All she wanted to do was find out about Aunt Grace’s situation as soon as possible.
Mindy got bored talking to Sabrina who wasn't responding, and followed Old Master Shaw inside. Behind her, Marcus, who had just parked his car, walked over.
Ever since Old Master Shaw had prohibited Marcus from meeting Sabrina, Marcus had not seen her. Meeting her again now, Marcus' heart was a mess.
He felt sorry for Sabrina
"Why...did you do this to yourself?" Marcus said pitifully.
Sabrina said, "Mr Shaw, if you don’t want me to call the police, you best distance yourself from me!"
Marcus was speechless.
He hesitated for a moment, then said sincerely," Sabrina, I know you're angry and I don't blame you for i t. After a few days, once everything with Madam Ford dies down, I will make arrangements for you."
Sabrina said nothing in response, i
Marcus hurried to follow Old Master Shaw and Mindy.
Sabrina remained standing by the hospital entrance. The Shaw family did not come out after even twenty minutes. Sabrina was starting to get anxious, she did not have much of a break in the afternoon. Since she could not afford the delay, she steeled herself and walked toward Grace's ward.
As she reached the ward, she saw Grace surrounded b y doctors, family and those who came to visit.
They were all shouting frantically.
"Madam Ford! Madam Ford, can you hear me?"
"Grace, I'm your Uncle Shaw. Grace? I know you've suffered a lot. Will you blame me for only visiting you now? Can you still hear my voice? You were a very good architect, how could you get this illness?" 1
"Auntie?" Marcus shouted.
"Aunt Grace?” That was Mindy's voice.
Yet, was she about to leave this world?
Sabrina leaned against the wall, crying so much she could not stand properly. She thought about the two years she had spent in prison with Aunt Grace. She suddenly felt like those were the happiest times in both of their lives.
Every day, she would help Grace with a bit of physical labor, and Grace would teach her architecture during their break time. It was a hard and tiring time. Even without any freedom, they still had the warm feeling o f relying on each other.
Yet now, only over a month after Aunt Grace had left prison, she was about to pass away.
Sabrina fell onto the ground. Her hands wrapped around her knees as she cried like a child with no home to return to. 2
A pair of shiny black leather shoes suddenly appeared in front of her.
Sabrina forgot about her dirty and blackened face. She looked up, her face full of tears, to look at the man in front of her.
Sebastian was staring down at her.
