Seeing that Jade was so nervous, Sabrina laughed out loud. "Haha!”
She hated Lincoln to the core, which was why she was determined to expose the whole truth. "Lincoln, because you want to protect your family of three, because of your loving relationship with Jade, because you both love and treasure your daughter... S o, for your family of three, you sacrificed me."
Lincoln did not say anything."..."
"Would you like to know something?" Sabrina looked a t Lincoln, who lay in a heap on the floor. Her eyes were bright with mirth.
He raised his head and looked at Sabrina.
She said slowly, "One day, I was on the way to your home. At the intersection before I took a turn, I saw Jade together with a man, in the small patch of trees behind the car. They were there for more than an hour."
Lincoln’s eyes widened in anger and he looked at Jade. "Jade..."
She immediately screamed, "I wasn't... Lincoln, this is not the time to be discussing this. Our daughter's sickness...." "Your daughter's sickness?" Sabrina said harshly, her
tone cold and vicious. "Some people took everything they could, wishing everyone else was dead, but the heavens won't just let her off the hook, am I right? Aunt Jade?”
Jade did not say anything."..."
She opened her mouth wide, but she remained tongue-tied and could not say a single word. Now that her only daughter had fallen ill with such a disease, she was only 50 years old and yet had to watch as her daughter died before her. What could this be if not karma?
Seeing Jade remain silent, Sabrina turned to look at Lincoln. "Lincoln Lynn, the family of three that you mention all the time... The loving, harmonious family! Do you know who is the man who tried to kill me and Aino on Star Island?"
"No, Sabrina! Don't say it," Jade begged Sabrina.
Lincoln asked anxiously, "Who is he! Who is he?" He seemed to have guessed the answer himself. A chill rose from the bottom of his heart and shot upward.
"That man is your wife’s lover. I saw them fooling around together with my own two eyes. Even now, I still have this photo of them saved in my phone.”
Jade screamed in despair, "No..."
Back then, Sabrina was about to say something, but he and Jade allied together and chased her away.
"But Lincoln, it's not too late for me to tell you now."
Sabrina said casually and softly, "I just wanted to remind you that Selene might not be your own biological daughter. Maybe she was born to your wife
and her little secret lover."
After a pause, she smiled innocently, "But, my dear biological father, haven't you been claiming all along that Selene is your adopted daughter? You should’ve known all along that Selene is the daughter of the little affair your wife had while she was cheating on you?"
Lincoln could not speak, for the third time."..."
Beads of sweat rolled down his head in rivulets. His mind was in a whirl, and he felt like it was exploding. However, he heard every single word Sabrina said, clear as crystal.
"My dear father," Sabrina called out to him intimately," What I want to know the most is, you tried so hard to kidnap your own daughter from her life as a freshman in university and put her in jail."
