Sabrina had already fled far away at that point.

She was drowning in self-mockery.

Had she known, she would not have ordered the filters. She had asked someone to help buy them on her behalf. She was poor, but she had still spent over three hundred bucks on them.

Yet, before they could even arrive, she had been chased out. Thinking about it, she thought that she was such a joke. Right now, the filters were probably i n Sebastian's hands. He was probably looking down o n them, smiling coldly as he threw them off the balcony.

Sabrina’s face turned bright red at the thought.

She had just wanted to thank him for the beautiful clothes and the laptop.

Now, she felt like she had been overthinking things, trying to show feelings toward someone that had never been interested.

She returned to her motel with a head full of thoughts. Lying down with her clothes on, she was unable to sleep.

Part of the reason was the filters, and the other half was because of Aunt Grace's illness.

Her thoughts rattling incessantly in her mind, Sabrina

only fell asleep when the sun was almost up.

By the time she awoke, she was already short on time. Thankfully, the motel she was staying at was close to Aunt Grace’s hospital. She got up and hurried over to the ward, only to find out that Aunt Grace had been at the intensive care unit the whole night. 1

The doctors were still trying to save her, and even family aren't permitted to enter for the time being.

Sabrina was forced to head to work.

Arriving at the company, her colleagues mocked and laughed at her. 1

"Sabrina, what were you doing last night? The circles around your eyes are so dark, you look like a panda. Surely, after sending you to work at the construction site, you didn't get tired of working and found someone to make some quick money off of instead?"

"I wouldn't dare!" The designer, Charles, jeered.

Sabrina thickened her face to ask another designer, only to be ignored.

The designers hatched a plan, and someone said," Sabrina, seeing as you're tired from being at the construction site yesterday, we won't make you go there today. Why don't you go clean up our storerooms?"

The storerooms were full of samples. Wall paints, silica gel, ceramics and various other objects. Sabrina had thought that there would not be much to clean, but she soon found out as she went to the storeroom that it had long been out of use. It was absolutely filthy, i

Sabrina did not have the time to bother about how pathetic she looked. Glancing at her phone, she realized that it was already past noon.
