Sabrina nodded hesitantly. "Did...did I do something wrong?"
She was instantly overwhelmed by a feeling like something horrible was about to happen. Nine years ago, this was exactly how she had been taken away out of the blue when she was in her second year of college.
"It's still about the case nine years ago. The family of the victim has found you and intends on pressing charges again." 1
Sabrina stayed silent.
"That's her! That's her! God damn it, it took me and my son so long to hunt you down! You man-stealing vixen, you wronged us and now you want to shift the blame?" A mid-aged woman roared at her.
Sabrina was stunned, as she recognized the woman. It was the same middle-aged woman who clawed at her car door to take one look at her before leaving.
"Why you...!" At that moment, she was so furious that she was struggling to get words out.
"Why wouldn't it be?? Nine years aside, even if it's been twenty years, you still have to pay for what you had done in the past," the woman roared. "How could we let a vile woman like you walk among us? I've heard that you have taken more than one life in the past!"
Sabrina paused for a moment, before lifting her gaze t o look at the gathering crowd. Suddenly, she spotted Lincoln standing in the crowd, along with the old Master Shaw.
'I see! It's yet another trap they put together intricately. They have once again thrown an invisible net towards me in hope to trap me, so that I am left with nowhere to run,’ she thought. Sabrina dazedly realized that her father-in-law's sudden visit this morning and his sudden anger and confrontation towards her and Sebastian must have been one of the many steps in the old Master Shaw's plan.
