Su Lan and Ye Tong entered.
"Last night, Grandpa gave her a lecture."
While making milk for Ye Tong, she heard about Ye Shaohua and decided to prepare a cup for her as well.
Ye Tong accompanied her to deliver it.
When knocking on Ye Shaohua’s door, Su Lan didn’t think much and pushed open the door without getting a response.
There sat Ye Shaohua in front of the computer.
She couldn’t help but ask an extra question.
"Playing games," Ye Shaohua quickly switched to a shortcut.
She hid the content of her document, and the computer screen enlarged the game.
Su Lan indeed frowned, "Alright, don’t stay up too late playing games. This is the milk I made for you."
After speaking and seeing Ye Shaohua’s indifferent nod, her temper flared again, "You’re not that young anymore, stop wasting your time and do something serious."
"Mom, my sister has just come back, don’t be so hasty," Ye Tong said gently, patting Su Lan’s back, "She’s still young, it’s normal for her to be playful."
Listening to Ye Tong, Su Lan wanted to say that there’s only a year difference between you two, how is she young?
But remembering the warning Grandpa had given her earlier, she ultimately kept quiet.
She felt that Grandpa was extremely biased; he had different attitudes towards Ye Shaohua and Ye Tong, even though they are both his granddaughters.
"Alright, only you know how to protect your little sister," Su Lan said with a chuckle as she glanced at Ye Tong.
The bond between mother and daughter was particularly strong.
Ye Shaohua sat in front of the computer playing games, her face expressionless; she wore pajamas with a large patch of her fair skin exposed at her neck.
"Finish it and go to bed early," said Su Lan, impatient to talk to her as Ye Shaohua did not engage in conversation. Then she walked out directly.
Ye Tong followed a step behind, smiled and said, "Little sister, don’t mind it, that’s just how Mom is."
"Mhm," Ye Shaohua responded nonchalantly.
The health bar of the small monster on the screen suddenly dropped by a third.
Ye Tong didn’t care about her attitude but, on leaving, she cast a doubtful glance at Ye Shaohua’s computer.
It seemed to be an illusion, but the interface she saw when she first came in didn’t seem to be the same one.
Yet, seeing how Ye Shaohua played smoothly, without turning her head, Ye Tong felt perhaps she was overthinking it.
She hesitated and then closed the door.
Ye Shaohua pulled away the chair and promptly locked the door.
She continued to open the document and write the last Chapter.
Her mood this time was completely different from the last time she wrote.
The phone kept ringing.
Halfway through, Ye Shaohua finally picked up her phone.
It was a message from her editor, Guozi.
Back and forth, over thirty private messages had been sent.
Guozi: Ye Liu, if you dare to come online, respond to me! I know you’re online!
Guozi: Don’t pretend you’re not online. Look at your login history [Screenshot of online 1 minute ago]
Guozi: (sneer) (sneer) (sneer)

Ye Liu001: ...
Ye Liu001: I’m writing the last Chapter, be good.
Ye Shaohua had previously attended such meetings, and the company’s people had always known Chen Shao’s attitude toward Ye Shaohua, placing her seat next to Chen Xumin.
However, now that seat was occupied by Men Shanshan.
Chen Xumin was originally talking to Men Shanshan.
When he saw Ye Shaohua come in, he looked up and paused for a moment.
"That’s roughly it, Ye Shaohua, you’ve harmed the interests of the company. To serve as punishment, I’ve passed all your recent resources to others, and you shouldn’t take any work for this month," Wen Zong said as he looked at the documents in his hand.
Men Shanshan, upon hearing Wen Zong’s decision, felt a surge of joy inside.
Putting Ye Shaohua on ice for a month, the company would have no choice but to promote her vigorously. And after a month, without any exposure, who would even remember what Ye Shaohua was?
She glanced at Chen Xumin subconsciously.
Jiang Jie’s expression changed. She looked toward Chen Xumin impulsively, "President Chen?!"
Chen Xumin glanced at Ye Shaohua, expressing some disappointment, "Was it you who had Director Xu squeeze out Shanshan’s role?"
Upon hearing Chen Xumin’s words, Jiang Jie felt a chill in her heart.
Men Shanshan’s face changed, then she felt a surge of elation.
"It was me," Ye Shaohua said with a smile.
"Since it was you, then go back and reflect properly..." As Chen Xumin saw Ye Shaohua act this way, his heart grew even more irritable, coupled with an indescribable disappointment.
His tone was somewhat cold when he spoke.
No one dared to respond, not even Men Shanshan, who had recently been favored.
"No need," Ye Shaohua reached up to remove the sunglasses from the bridge of her nose and casually slipped them into her pocket.
Chen Xumin was taken aback, "If you don’t want to reflect, then apologize..."
"No, what I mean is..." Ye Shaohua, seated at the very back, now stood up, leaning slightly against the table.
She was dressed in a black shirt today, her naturally fair skin highlighted by the clothing, making her face appear even paler, her eyes and brows showing a frosty solitude, "Terminate the contract; your ancestors won’t play these games anymore."
