Sorry for Your Loss It's Me I'm the Loss novel Chapter 790

She suddenly thought about all the times she had gone on missions. Bennett must have been just as worried, afraid she would get hurt, feel pain, or worse, lose her life.

Unable to sleep, Yvonne decided to sit up and read a script.

It was a new one from Sandra, a lighthearted modern romance.

The script was good. It was still in the development phase, but Sandra had bought the rights, intending for their own company to produce it.

The female lead would undoubtedly be Yvonne, and the company's other new talents could be cast in supporting roles to gain some exposure.

Yvonne flipped through the script. Although it was a sweet romance, the writing was excellent, with a tight plot and witty, humorous dialogue.

By the time Yvonne finished reading, the sun was already rising.

She rubbed her eyes and slipped out of bed to wash up. When she came out of the bathroom, she heard her phone buzzing insistently on the coffee table.

Yvonne walked over and picked it up. Seeing it was Bennett calling, she immediately answered.

“You’re awake?” Bennett’s warm, deep voice came through the phone.

“Mhm,” Yvonne hummed in response, then asked, “Is the mission over?”

Bennett replied, “Just finished. But I have to assist the police with the suspect interviews. I probably won’t make it back today, so you be good at home by yourself.”

“I will,” Yvonne answered with a gentle smile, though she couldn’t help but ask, “Are you hurt?”

“No, don’t worry,” he replied warmly.

On his end, it sounded like someone was talking to him, their voice urgent and insistent.

“You should get back to it then. I didn’t get enough sleep, so I’m going to catch up on some rest,” Yvonne said, her voice noticeably lighter. She tactfully ended the call, not wanting to get in the way of his work.

“Yvonne, are you up? Breakfast is ready.” The moment she hung up, Helen’s voice came from outside the door.

“Okay, I’ll be right there after I change,” Yvonne called back. She put on a fresh set of clothes and then left the bedroom.

Her worries from the night had vanished with the confirmation of Bennett’s safety. Her heart finally at ease, she snuggled into the soft blankets and quickly fell asleep.

Yvonne slept soundly and peacefully, but at that very moment, at the Thompson estate, all hell was about to break loose.

Bennett’s car drove into the Thompson Manor and pulled into its designated parking spot.

A servant heard the car in the courtyard and immediately came out to greet him.

“Young Master, you’re back! I’ll go tell the Master and Madam right away,” the servant said happily.

In this vast manor, besides the staff, it was usually just Frank and Emma.

Frank was busy with work and rarely home during the day. Emma was even more elusive, spending half the year away on film sets. And if she and Frank had a fight, she would move out entirely.
