Sorry for Your Loss It's Me I'm the Loss novel Chapter 772

"They're health tonics from Mom. She thinks I'm too thin to help you expand the family, so she wants me to bulk up. I didn't expect there to be so much either."

Yvonne finished with a helpless shrug.

Bennett couldn't help but chuckle. He then looked at the servants and instructed, "Put everything in the trunk."

The servants worked quickly, efficiently packing the tonics into the trunk until it was completely full. Emma had truly spared no expense to make sure Yvonne was well-nourished.

Once the servants closed the trunk, Bennett got in the car with Yvonne and they drove off.

The car left the Thompson family estate, smoothly merging onto the main road and heading toward Cherry Bay.

As they drove, Bennett focused on the road ahead while Yvonne, in the passenger seat, spoke slowly, "I wonder if Mom will argue with Dad after we left. After all, Dad spent over fifty million to clean up the mess that illegitimate son, Eden, made."

"The money doesn't really matter; money is the one thing the Thompson family doesn't lack. But there will definitely be an argument. After Eden caused such a huge mess, my mother will certainly take the opportunity to kick him while he's down."

Bennett said coolly, his hands on the steering wheel.

Yvonne nodded and sighed softly. Then she added, "Everything about that incident with Eden today seemed fishy."

"Oh?" Bennett raised an eyebrow with a slight smile, as if to say, "I'm all ears."

Yvonne explained, "The Powells aren't stupid, so why would they target Eden? He's an illegitimate son with no power or influence, and he could never marry their daughter. There's no real benefit for them. If they were going to target someone, it should have been you, right?"

The smile in Bennett's eyes deepened. "My Vonnie is as sharp as ever. The person Nelly and Mignon were trying to target was, indeed, me."

After discussing Eden, Yvonne brought up the argument she had witnessed between Noah, Cynthia, and Karina in front of the villa.

She recounted what little she had heard, adding her own speculations, and gave Bennett the general picture.

Bennett's reaction was much like Emma's—indifferent, as if it had nothing to do with him.

Bennett and Noah were close brothers, and if Noah were in real trouble, he would help without hesitation. But he had no interest in a drama about two women fighting over one man.

After all, Noah was his brother, and that would never change. Who his sister-in-law was didn't really matter.

"Karina has no leverage. She has almost no chance of winning against Cynthia. However, Cynthia comes from the prestigious Scott family, so she won't make things too ugly. As for when Karina steps down, that all depends on when the White family finally implodes."
