Sorry for Your Loss It's Me I'm the Loss novel Chapter 762

Bennett led Yvonne to greet the Thompson family elders.

Mr. Thompson Sr. and Bennett’s uncle were both high-ranking military officers, so it wasn’t appropriate for them to attend such a commercial banquet. Neither was present.

However, Bennett's aunt, Dana, along with Noah and his wife, and of course, Frank and Emma, were all there.

Bennett formally introduced Yvonne to his family once more.

“Mr. Thompson, Mrs. Thompson,” Yvonne said politely, greeting Frank and Emma.

“Dear, you and Bennett are already married. You shouldn’t be calling us Mr. and Mrs. Thompson. It’s time to call us Mom and Dad,” Dana corrected with a smile.

Frank nodded with a smile, clearly in agreement. Emma remained silent, looking as if she had long since resigned herself to the situation. Since Bennett wouldn’t marry anyone but Yvonne, her objections as his mother were futile, and she had no choice but to accept it.

“Mom, Dad,” Yvonne called out, a little shyly.

Frank was delighted and immediately handed Yvonne an unlimited black card as a welcoming gift for officially joining the family.

“Aunt Dana, Karina,” Yvonne said, greeting them with equal courtesy.

Dana smiled, took Yvonne’s hand, and slid a jade bracelet onto her wrist. It was a violet jade bracelet; though the color didn't quite reach the level of imperial violet, its quality and luster were excellent and quite rare on the market.

“Aunt Dana, this is too valuable,” Yvonne said, instinctively trying to refuse.

Since that branch of the Thompson family wasn’t involved in business, this bracelet was an incredibly generous gift from Dana.

Bennett treated them like family, calling her Aunt Dana and Karina his sister-in-law, yet Karina couldn't seem to grasp her own position and still put on airs as a senior Mrs. Thompson.

Yvonne might be young, but as Bennett’s wife, she was the future matriarch of the Thompson family. Their branch of the family could only hope to stay in her good graces. Karina was truly foolish to give Yvonne the cold shoulder. Did she not fear that a few whispers from Yvonne in Bennett's ear could make their comfortable lives much less so?

Yvonne’s first appearance at a Thompson family banquet had made her the star of the evening.

Meanwhile, Yolanda, who had arrived with the illegitimate son Eden, was thoroughly ignored. Some of the more observant guests even deliberately distanced themselves to avoid offending Bennett.

Yolanda’s face was twisted with rage. “That little bitch Yvonne actually made it in. Is Bennett blind? Choosing some washed-up actress who’s been passed around.”

“Jealous? A woman’s face is truly ugly when she’s jealous,” Eden sneered, glancing at her with disdain.
