Sorry for Your Loss It's Me I'm the Loss novel Chapter 752

He was dressed in tailored trousers and a deep blue blazer, looking less severe and more like a dashing young gentleman.

Yvonne's first thought was that she was seeing things. She instinctively rubbed her eyes and stared blankly at him, only to see Bennett striding toward her.

“What are you staring at? Don't you recognize me?”

“Ben, what are you doing here?” Yvonne asked.

“I came to pick you up,” Bennett said, naturally taking her hand.

Even though the VIP lounge wasn't crowded and Yvonne was wearing a hat and mask, it was still a public place, so they couldn't be too affectionate.

“My flight was about to head back anyway. You flew all the way here? Wasn't that a hassle?” Yvonne said with a sigh.

“I happened to have the time, so I came,” Bennett said, affectionately ruffling her hair. He then looked over at Thomas, gave a polite nod, and said, “Cousin.”

“Right,” Thomas acknowledged with a nod before leading his assistant and the others to a different seating area.

It was obvious to both of them that Bennett had shown up because of Thomas, but there was no need to say it out loud.

Bennett led Yvonne to a seat on the other side of the lounge.

“When did you get here?” Yvonne asked.

“My flight landed this morning. It was a bit tight to go to the hotel, so I just waited for you at the airport,” Bennett replied.

Yvonne nodded, then added, “Bennett, are you ever going to grow up?”

Bennett naturally leaned over, buckled Yvonne’s seatbelt for her, then took her handbag, pulled out her phone, and powered it off.

The plane began to take off, creating a slight feeling of weightlessness, but for people like them who flew constantly, it was barely noticeable.

Bennett put her handbag back, but now he was holding a sparkling diamond ring. He had found it in her bag when he was getting her phone.

“Why did you take it off?” Bennett asked.

“I had to for the show,” Yvonne explained, holding her hand out to him. Bennett took it and slid the ring back onto the ring finger of her right hand, then enveloped her hand in his.

The plane had reached cruising altitude, and a flight attendant came by with a menu for the business class passengers.

Yvonne had just eaten lunch and had no appetite. Bennett wasn't hungry either, so he declined, only saying politely, “Could you please bring a bottle of water for my fiancée?”
