She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 396

The second thug slashed his machete horizontally at her waist.

Loyce planted one hand on her motorcycle's handlebar, vaulting her body into the air. Her other leg swung down like a battleaxe, slamming viciously into the man's weapon-bearing shoulder! The immense force drew a pained grunt from the thug as he was driven to his knees, his machete clattering to the floor.

The third and fourth thugs attacked simultaneously, their steel pipes and fists completely cutting off Loyce's space to dodge.

A chilling light flashed in Loyce's eyes as her body unleashed an explosive burst of power in the cramped space. She swung onto the bike and violently twisted the handlebars. Driven by her incredible core strength, the heavy motorcycle whipped around, its rear end sweeping out like a giant sledgehammer!

*Thud! Thud!* Two dull impacts sounded. The two thugs had nowhere to hide. The heavy tail of the bike slammed squarely into their ribs. They flew backward screaming, crashing into the wall and sliding down into a heap, completely incapacitated.

The entire sequence was over in a flash of lightning. In just a dozen seconds, all four vicious thugs were laid out on the floor, groaning in agony and completely neutralized.

Only then did Loyce nimbly step off the bike. Her movements were crisp and clean, as if that hyper-violent brawl was no more taxing than brushing dust off her sleeve.

She didn't even spare a glance at the moaning men on the ground. She walked straight over to the tied-up Holt and untied his ropes.

"You alright?"

The girl leaned down and offered him her hand. A few loose strands of hair fell past her shoulder, catching the midday light. Her beauty in that moment made Holt stare in a daze.

He reached out, took her hand, and used her leverage to stand up.

After letting him go, Loyce walked straight over to the groaning men. Her pristine white sneaker stepped squarely onto the heavyset man, her eyes narrowing slightly. "You're from Yavon County?"

The man's eyes were wide with terror. He spoke in heavily accented English, "Don't kill me! Don't kill me! I was just paid to do a job!"

"Are all of you from the same village?" Loyce asked again. But seeing the man stammering in fear, she directly picked up the dropped bottle of acid, unscrewed the cap, and held it right over his face. "Speak properly. Standard English."

"Yes! We're all from Yavon County, we all came out of Wulden Village!" the man roared in terror.

Loyce tilted the bottle slightly. "The whole village is in the business of human trafficking and running illegal sweatshops?"

On the map, Yavon County was about twenty miles away from Wulden Village, connected by a state highway. It wasn't exactly far.

The man was hyperventilating, his voice trembling. "N-no, yes, basically everyone in our village does this. We formed syndicates, it's all organized group operations."
