She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 359

Lucian's tall frame nearly enveloped Loyce in his shadow. He had moved with an undeniable authority, physically cutting off the teacher who had been trying to set Loyce up.

That teacher retracted his hand, staring blankly at the man who had just wedged himself into their conversation.

After sitting, Lucian casually draped his arm along the top of Loyce's chair. Though he wasn't touching her, the posture was a clear declaration of possession.

Loyce's body stiffened almost imperceptibly before she relaxed, but her fingertips tightened around her spoon.

Lucian's gaze swept over the now-silent teachers, finally settling on Loyce's profile. His deep, resonant voice broke the quiet, picking up right where their conversation had left off. "Talking about matchmaking?"

His tone was as casual as if he were discussing the weather. "What a coincidence. I’m single too. Unmarried, stable, and very serious about marriage."

The table was dead silent. Even the smile on Ms. Ford's face froze. "Is, is that so."

Lucian turned his head, glancing at the phone screen still lit up in the teacher's hand. "This guy you're recommending is barely out of his twenties. He's not in as much of a hurry as I am. Why don't you let me have a shot first?"

Lucian's presence was so overwhelming that the teacher instinctively nodded, a cold sweat breaking out on his back. "Of course, of course."

Then, Lucian's deep-set eyes locked onto Loyce's slightly lowered gaze. His look was sharp and direct. "Loyce, what do you think of me? Do I fit your 'type'?"

His voice wasn't loud, but it carried clearly to every ear, including the student section not far away, where everyone had been straining to listen. The students immediately erupted.

"What the hell? Single? Did I hear that right? Mr. Shapiro said he's single? Then what about Cyrilla...?"
